Get ready to cheer on the Australian Disc Golf Team at the World Team Disc Golf Championships. We have 4 club members representing- Chilly, Gina, Kirsty and Bryce. Kirsty will be playing doubles in the first round.

Game Day! The long road to Vilnius, Lithuania is reaching its destination. The team are pulling on the green and gold ready for the moment that they take to the course for the first match of the championships. All the preparation, the teamwork, the fieldwork and putts have led to this moment. Round 1 sees the Sugar Gliders up against Ukraine Tuesday 7th Sept from 7pm AEST.

Sunshine and good times for Father's Day at Stockade Hill park in East Maitland Disc Golf. We started the day with a Discover Disc Golf event and had a dozen keen new participants followed by our monthly league day. Our prize winners were:

Great night at Armstrong/Rudd last night saw JJ continue his ‘cash’ run with a 10 under round. Let see if he can keep the hot scoring up at Stockade Hill on Sunday 😁🥏 or will the pumpkin pickers keep the home ground advantage alive!!

Congratulations to all of our Newcastle club members who competed at the NSW Open championships over the weekend. We had some great results, including Chilly taking second place overall in the top MPO division, Kirsty winning the FPO division and JJ winning the MP40 division.

Tonight JJ took the win with an-11 using his “special” not PDGA legal wraith with the garden light LED taped to the disc. A very solid performance. This round is dedicated to The Bryson! Missed you tonight - keep an eye on the leaderboard 🫶🏻🔦🥏

10 Players for tonight’s Glow Round, in what some would describe as perfect Glow conditions- no wind, no moon 🌑 and well yes a few bogeys but the cash went to Bryce and Ben on 39 a -9 under score (all the cash donated to prize pool). Shout out to everyone who came out tonight 🫶🏻🔦🥏

This morning, Sheldon played an amazing round of (-10) to win both the scratch and handicap of the August league day at Jesmond. The afternoon doubles was also a fundraiser for Jeans for Genes and Chilly and Justin channeled the power of double denim to shoot (-14) for the win. Thanks to all who came and supported, the club will be donating over $300 to Jeans for Genes!

So, deep breath… Tonight’s GLOW round was one of the best yet 🔦🥏
Bryce on -12 took the win with a new course record, Garry with a throw-in from about 40m on long hole 1 and Ben with the ace on hole 16 (tee 6 to basket 1). With 6 rounds to go everyone is still in it - if you’re not there you are missing out!! We are on next week 🔦🥏🌖

ADG Majors 2026
The 2026 edition of the NSW Open will be held at Sefton Golf Course in Sydney from 29th-31st August. This three-day PDGA B-Tier is the NSW State Major and for the first time is being hosted by Wizdiscs.

Registrations open Sat 13th June 6:30pm AEST. Capacity is capped at 140 players so get in quick.

On a perfect winter's day at Rathmines, 28 players enjoyed the sun with Chilly smashing the previous league day course record with an incredible -16 from 20 holes. Also having a pretty good day were JJ with an ace on hole 8 and the handicap win and Shannon snagging the CTP on hole 2.
