Been working at Arena for over 10 years, what a great community, so many supported staff and members around, very lucky to be part of it 🥰

Karina was recently diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. This mum of a 1.5 year old isn't giving up. She's facing it with a great attitude and staying active.

Her message to you: don't wait for your doctor to tell you to exercise. Do it for yourself. Do it for your family 💛

10+ years ago, I destroyed my neck and shoulders working in a commercial kitchen. The pain was so horrible, I couldn't even sleep properly 😪

That's what drove me to become a Personal Trainer! So I could help myself and others to feel better.

After years of strength training and working with hundreds of clients, I've refined my approach down to these 3 essential exercises for shoulder rehab.

The Routine:
1, External rotation ( the blue band was to keep the elbow close to the body)
2, Band pull (can use a stronger band)
3, Lateral raise ( can have arms forward 45 degree if you don't have shoulder flexibility)

Do them 8-10 rep x 3 sets, 2-3 times per week. Start small if hurts too much.

All you need is a resistant band, difference colours have different resistance. I'm using PTP band from Rebel sports.

⚠️ Important: These exercises don't suit everyone. Please consult your physician before starting any new routine. Stop if you feel any sharp pain.

Questions, drop them below, I'm here to help 😊

We all have those days when life feels a little heavier than usual.

Teeny wasn't having the best day today, but thankfully Simba was more than happy to step in as emotional support. 🐱❤️ These two have been good friends for a while.

Sometimes the best part of training isn't just getting stronger, it's having a place where you can switch off, laugh, and leave feeling a little better than when you arrived.

Who else has a workout buddy that makes everything better? 👇

Stephen started training with me in January with no previous gym experience but he is a fast learner.

Working as a tradie, he'd come straight to training after a full day of physical job, consistently showing up to the PT sessions twice a week and giving his best effort each session 🙌

Over the next 5 months, he built noticeable muscle through his shoulders and arms, developed a broader upper body, improved his posture, and became significantly stronger💪

One of his biggest achievements during this journey was quitting smoking — a huge step towards better health and fitness 👏

Proof that consistency beats perfection every time. Great work, Stephen! 👏💪

Celebrating the win 🙌

Sherene has been consistently training with me twice a week (30 mins each session) since August 2025, the results speak for themselves.

In just 6 months:
• +1.5kg muscle mass
• −1.5% body fat (from “over fat” to a healthy range)
• Increased basal metabolic rate
• Reduced metabolic age by 3 years

What’s even more impressive? She didn’t change her diet, enjoyed two holidays (including a cruise 🚢) and still achieved great results, all while enjoying Christmas parties, family celebrations, and good food.

This is proof that consistent strength training really works — just 1 hour per week can make a difference!

She’s feeling strong, confident, and is still training hard for her wedding in 4 weeks 💍

This bride-to-be is going to look absolutely incredible ✨

🥳Happy 81st Birthday John 🎂 🎉

John started training at 72 years young, and for the past 9 years he has shown what consistency and smart strength training can achieve 💪

When John first came to the gym, he had neck pain, which is why he started personal training with me. In our sessions, we focused on building back strength to improve posture and support his neck, and over time the neck pain disappeared, posture has gotten better, and he said he felt taller 😂

Last year, his back began to tighten and became painful, so we adjusted our sessions to focus more on overall strength, mobility, and regular hamstring stretching. I’m happy to say the back pain is now gone as well 💪

Training once a week, session after session, John always turns up, puts in the effort, and trusts the process. That commitment allows him to keep enjoying life — from golfing (which he picked up two years ago), to off-road caravan trips (very often), spending time with his six grandkids, and living a very active retirement.

John brings great humour to every session and reminds us that age is just a number. It’s what you do consistently — and the right strength training — that truly pays off.

Here’s hoping we keep training together for another 9 years.

You are truly inspirational, John 🎉💪

What do you do when you retire?
Bulgarian split squats, anyone? 😉
Retirement doesn’t mean slowing down — it means moving better 💪
Marcella started training with me in August 2024 and has now completed 30 PT sessions and still going strong.
She strength trains with me once a week and stays active with Pilates, yoga, and her gym program when we’re not training together.
Her progress over this time has been amazing. She’s open-minded, willing to give everything a go, never complains, and always brings positive vibes to every session.
Loving the process — go Marcella! 👏✨
