Last big Mtb ride before Dwellingup 100 next week!
Always been my favourite Mtb Marathon😀
25kg Dumbbell Renegade Rows.
Strength building is not always about adding size (especially as a cyclist) but increasing our Neuromuscular Connections and Coordination.
When everything is tied together and no weaknesses are left unaccounted for, steady progression will enable you to do things with ease😀
When you manage to work out the recipe for becoming as strong as you can, while not adding unnecessary bulk, and being as loose and relaxed as you can, it truly feels like you have that ‘floating feeling’ during everyday life 😀
STEADY PROGRESSION with MINIMAL SACRIFICE
Single arm/hand deadlifts at 75kg (weigh 63kg).
Love trying new challenges as my age number keeps creeping upwards (it’s only a number after all😉)
As a personal trainer, I am getting strength as I set weights up for clients and demonstrating exercises, but I only do one heavy strength/mobility session for myself each week.
If your numbers are consistently heading upwards with one session a week, and you are recovering and injury free… why do more???
We want to achieve maximum results for minimal effort, not the other way round at 57years old.
The same goes for on the bike training..
If you can increase power, become leaner, stronger and race better with less training time and also without a sacrifice to health, leisure time and enjoyment, then that is a better achievement all round😀
