As the 2026-27 Season is fast approaching, every interaction with an athlete, coach, volunteer or fellow official helps shape the competition experience and contributes to the culture of our sport.

The Australian Athletics Officiating Roadshow, proudly supported by Athletics West, will focus on practical skills to help officials build confidence, manage challenging situations and create welcoming, respectful and inclusive competition environments.

Two sessions will be delivered:

💥IMPORTANT - KIDSPORT FUNDING💥

STEP 1 - Apply for Kidsport funding ASAP to avoid missing the season start. The process we need to follow may take longer to complete.

STEP 2 - Once your voucher code is received, email your club, and cc' in [email protected] the following:
• Your Kidsport Voucher code
• The amount $ you are redeeming
• What membership option are you purchasing ie LA, Junior, Dual etc

You will then be provided with the relevant discount codes to use as part of the registration process. ALL discount codes must be used to ensure the overall total is reduced by the correct amount.

IMPORTANT: You must contact your Club before proceeding with the registration process if you are using a Kidsport voucher. If you register before contacting your Club, they won't be able to reimburse you.

SEEKING A CANTEEN MANAGER

This role requires you to:
-Be available to manage the canteen at every competition day - 17 comps for the season including centre championships.
-Oversee canteen operations and club helpers each comp day.
-Ensure the menu provides a variety that will attract all members and visitors to purchase goods from the canteen. A minimum of 2 drinks and 2 food options including bottled water is required.
-Organise the ordering, purchasing and restocking of all canteen stock.

Following our AGM last Wednesday, we were unsuccessful to establish a committee for the 2026/27 season.

We're still seeking support and would love to hear from anyone who can assist in any capacity. Vacant roles can be shared if the commitment feels a bit daunting 😉. Our Club works best when many people contribute in small ways, rather than a few people carrying a large load. Building that support network will not only make our club run more smoothly, but also strengthen our sense of community and set us up for continued success into the future.
