Today we hosted Minister Steve Dimopoulos MP down at the Kangaroo Flat Football Netball Club to announce a massive win for our local sporting community! 🏉🏐

Footy and netball clubs are the heartbeat of regional Victoria, and everyone who plays community sport deserves a safe place to play, train, and connect.

That’s why I’m proud that Labor is locking in five more years of WorkSafe Victoria backing country footy, securing vital funding like the Club Safety Fund.

Whether it’s new defibrillators, goalpost padding, first-aid gear, non-slip changeroom floors, or better lighting for dark car parks and paths, these grants fix real safety risks before someone gets hurt.

Let’s keep country sport strong across Bendigo West! 💪💜

The Kangaroo Flat FNC are excited to announce the appointment of Chelsea Sartori and Abbey Ryan as our B Grade co-coaches for season 2027.

Both back-to-back A Grade premiership players, this duo will join forces and work together to get our B Graders to the next level.

Chelsea did a fantastic job as B Grade coach in her first year this season and got the side through to a preliminary final. Abbey now also takes on a offical coaching role after being the assistant for A Reserve for the past 2 seasons.

Chels and Abb will also continue to play for the A Grade team who are still undefeated since 2024! 🤩

An exciting appointment and we cannot wait to see what this duo can achieve together next season.
