Congratulations to Faye Seng for her Hole In One on the 8th hole today!
Undulating and unsuspecting, the par 66 course is a challenge like no other. Private golf course, open to the public and our members.

It’s Friday. Everyone has done enough.
The kids have been educated, the adults have been employed, and whatever didn’t get done this week can now become Monday’s problem.
Flavours of Eataly is rolling into Brisbane River Golf Club tonight from 4:30pm to 8pm, bringing delicious Italian food and the perfect excuse to officially give up on cooking for the week.
We’ll have live music, the bar will be cold, the atmosphere relaxed, and nobody is going to ask you what you achieved today.
Bring the family, bring some friends and come spend Friday night with us. Everyone’s welcome — golfers, non-golfers and people who are simply here because Italian food and a cold drink seemed considerably better than whatever was in the fridge.
See you tonight at BRGC.

Karana Downs, we’ve nearly made it to Friday.
The kids have survived another long week at school, the adults have survived another long week at work, and frankly that feels like enough achievement for everyone.
Flavours of Eataly is back at Brisbane River Golf Club this Friday from 4:30pm to 8pm, and with a hot, sunny day forecast before things cool down nicely into the evening, it’s shaping up to be a pretty perfect Friday night.
Come down for delicious Italian food, live music, cold drinks from the bar and absolutely no requirement to cook, clean up or think too hard about anything.
Bring the family, round up some friends and settle in for a relaxed night at the club. Everyone’s welcome — you don’t need to be a member, you don’t need to play golf, and after this week, you probably don’t need much convincing either.
See you Friday night at BRGC.

This September, we’re choosing to remember the good times.
The 3-pointers. The 4-pointers. That one hole where everything somehow went exactly according to plan.
The wipes, doubles and other unfortunate incidents? We’re being selective.
Welcome to September Selective – Stableford Eclectic, where you’ll spend the month building your ultimate Stableford round, one hole at a time.
Format: Stableford Eclectic
When: Any eligible round Sunday–Friday throughout September. Must have a marker and a valid Golf ID.
Here’s how it works.
Your best Stableford score on each individual hole throughout the month is recorded. Every time you play, you have another opportunity to improve one or more holes on your Eclectic card.
Score 2 points on the 5th in your first round? That’s on the board.
Score 3 points there next time? The 2 disappears.
Manage a glorious 4-pointer later in the month? Congratulations. We now choose to remember that version of events.
By the end of September, your best Stableford points from each of the 18 holes will be combined to create your final September Selective score.
It doesn’t matter if those 18 great holes occurred over three rounds, six rounds or considerably more attempts than you’d care to admit. We’re only interested in the good bits.
The more you play, the more chances you have to improve your card and climb the leaderboard.
There’ll be prizes for the best overall Stableford Eclectic score, along with some additional prizes to keep things interesting throughout the month.
Entries are available through the Pro Shop. $15 for members / $30 non-members.
A whole month of golf, with only your best 18 holes kept on record.
Finally, a scoring system that respects selective memory.

BLACK MARKER RIVER CHALLENGE | THIS THURSDAY 3 SEPTEMBER
This Thursday, Brisbane River Golf Club gets a little longer, a little tougher and considerably less forgiving.
The Black Marker River Challenge returns for September, with the course set from the black markers and championship hole locations in play for the toughest version of an already challenging layout.
This is exactly what the River Challenge is about.
Once played alongside our regular Saturday competitions, the event now has its own day on the first Thursday of every month — giving members and visiting golfers the opportunity to come together and take on Brisbane River at its most demanding.
And there’s a certain prestige in getting it right.
A good score is always satisfying. A good score when the course is stretched to its limits means a little more. Winning the River Challenge means you've taken on the hardest setup we can offer and come out on top — and that's an achievement worth chasing.
The course is looking great following the recent rain, the new path works are complete and looking fresh, and everything is ready for Thursday.
We want to keep building the Black Marker River Challenge into a monthly fixture that attracts a strong field and becomes a date golfers genuinely look forward to.
So whether you're a BRGC member who knows exactly what awaits from the black markers, or a visitor who'd like to find out, we'd love to have you in the field.
Bookings are open now.
Come and take on the River this Thursday, 3 September. Your handicap may have opinions about it afterwards.

Karana Downs has officially begun thawing out, and just in time for ALBA Japanese Food Truck tonight from 5pm at Brisbane River Golf Club.
They’ll be serving up their incredible handmade Japanese food, including crispy karaage chicken and dumplings that make sharing feel like an entirely unreasonable expectation.
The weather is warmer, we’ve got live music, the bar is stocked with cold drinks, and nobody needs to cook. A remarkably efficient way to deal with Friday night.
Come down from 5pm, find yourself a spot and enjoy the increasingly suspicious appearance of spring.
See you tonight at BRGC.

As the course continues its transformation, we’ve made a few important updates to our Local Rules to help protect the work being done, keep everyone safe and make sure the course stays heading in the right direction.
There are new rules around golf carts, protected areas and greenkeeping ropes, along with the recently introduced Mandatory Green Clearance rule on Hole 17 and the Residential Safety rule on Hole 4.
So before you tee off, have a quick read of the current Local Rules. There are a few more things to remember these days, but thankfully “hit it straight” still isn’t one of them.
The improvements are coming thick and fast at BRGC, and we’re pretty excited about where the course is heading.

Winter is nearly over, Karana Downs is beginning to thaw out, and we can all slowly return to pretending we’re outdoorsy people again.
ALBA Japanese Food Truck is back at Brisbane River Golf Club this Friday from 5pm, serving up their incredible handmade Japanese favourites, including dumplings and crispy karaage chicken.
The weather is warming up, the evenings are getting nicer, and the cold drinks at the bar have somehow remained completely unaffected by this seasonal development.
We’ll also have live music, plenty of spots to settle in, and absolutely no requirement for anyone to cook dinner or deal with the consequences of cooking dinner.
Come hungry. Ordering extra dumplings for the table and then eating most of them yourself is between you and your conscience.
See you Friday from 5pm at BRGC.

Roamin' Pizza is rolling into Brisbane River Golf Club TONIGHT from 5pm, which means you can officially abandon whatever responsible dinner plans you were pretending to have.
The woodfired oven will be firing, with their crowd-favourite Chicken & Bacon back on the menu, along with the incredible Smoky BBQ Pulled Brisket with caramelised red onion, jalapeños, garlic aioli and BBQ drizzle. Basically, a fairly convincing argument against cooking.
We’ll have live music, the outdoor heaters going and the bar fully stocked with all your favourite drinks.
Come down, grab a pizza, find a warm spot and enjoy your Friday night.
No cooking. No dishes. No regrets about ignoring the contents of your fridge.
From 5pm tonight at Brisbane River Golf Club.
