🥋 TWO NEW EE DANS 🥋

This weekend I had the privilege of celebrating two of our students achieving Ee Dan (2nd Dan): Chayce Quinn JKN and Alicia Wood KSN.

Neither of these gradings happened in a single day. They came from years of turning up, putting in the work, and doing your best even when it was hard. That effort is what we celebrated.

They also didn't get here alone. Every training partner who held a pad, shared a correction, or cheered them on helped build this. That is what our Dojang community is.

Congratulations, Chayce and Alicia. Thank you for the example you set for everyone training alongside you.

Today Ebrahim Kyo Sa Nim concluded the Korean Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa event (master belt grading in Korea). After a week long of training, learning, sweating and Kimchi, everything concluded today with their final presentation.

We are very proud of this massive achievement and excited to see him back so he can share what he learned in Korea.

👊🏼WITH PREPARATION THERE IS NO FEAR👊🏼
Our instructors offering up their early Sunday morning to develop and improve their instructor skills. Today we’re working on how we can integrate our Moo Do philosophies into our class and giving the instructors tools how to do this. So proud and humbled by these keen instructors to share the art with the students.

I’m looking forward to the next few weeks where they are going to put this in practice.

💪🏻 PUSH FOR BETTER 💪🏻
As we did previous years we are participating in the annual push up challenge to create awareness for mental health. As martial arts is a great way to give your mental health a boost we are all for this. Currently we are half way through the challenge and there is unity in shared “suffering” 😂. Arms feeling a bit tight, but for a good cause. Thanks everyone for your participation in this. Let’s Push for better.

This Saturday - Belt ceremony for Paul French. We'll be celebrating his achievement and progress. Great work, Paul.

Next Thursday - Special class at Kardinya Dojang. We'll be connecting with interstate visitors, so bring your energy and make them feel welcome on our floor.

Saturday 30 May & Monday 1 June - No classes at Kardinya Dojang due to the Australian National Camp (ANC).

📋 TIP GRADING 📋

Recently we had our tip grading - a chance to check in on where everyone's at and prepare for our upcoming grading cycle.

Whether you're getting ready to test soon or you're a senior who won't grade for a few years, this is about the same thing: constant improvement. We use these check-ins to see what's progressing, what needs more work, and where to focus our training moving forward.

It's not about being perfect. It's about showing us you're putting in the work, pushing yourself, and committed to getting better.

This is how we grow. This is how we keep the standard high.
