A glorious day for batting:
5 half centures and TWO centuries! 💯🏏

Congratulations to Kaelan Demetrios (U12/1 Cawsey Shield) on his maiden century. Kaelan hit 15 fours and 1 six to bring up his unbeaten century off just 69 balls. 👏

Similarly, Sam Jaques’ (U17/1 Watson Shield) unbeaten 102* off 78 balls also came from 15 fours and 1 six. Congratulations Sam! 👌🏻

It was a blue wash for round two with every SSJCA team coming out on top this week! 🔵🎉 And as you’d expect in a clean sweep of the board, there were some exceptional individual performances.

👏 Congratulations to Taj Laws U11/1 Colin Cooper Cup who carried his bat for the second game in a row and scored a very impressive 118* off 134 balls. Taj’s unbeaten 118 was built from 19 fours and set the U11’s up with a big first innings total. Taj also took 4 catches in the field - great effort Taj!

It was a day for our batters as our first batch of 2026/27 representative sides took to the field; half centures from every game that played. Unfortunately after the heat of Saturday, rain effected play for our 15’s and 17’s resulting in abandoned matches for all three teams.
Bring on round 2!
