In one of the most tightly contested (only 25 shots scored over 20 ends), and friendliest finals (it was more like 6 mates having roll up), played in front of an awesome supportive crowd, the winners of the KRSLBC Men’s Triples are Grant Boyle, Peter Conroy and Mark BJ Walkden. AKA, Two Chairs, Whale Guts and Stink Eye.
Runners up on the day were Brendan Revell, Tom Mulley and Ben Brown.
I’d like to take the opportunity to thank both teams for making it a great game to be part of and in particular, Ben Brown for all the laughs.

With Pete Fidden’s funeral starting at 1:30pm on Thursday, bowls will start at 10am and last bowls at Midday to allow people time to prepare for the funeral if they are attending.
Pete was a long time supporter of our Bowls Club through his tenure both as President and Board Member of the RSL Club. He continued to support afterwards through supporting our raffles and watching the bowls.
Our committee would like to honour Pete through wearing our Karuah Bowls top’s to the funeral and would ask that all bowls members attending do the same.
RIP our friend.

I just needed to thank everyone for their amazing effort coming together to raise much needed funds for the Mater Hospital Oncology Day , Thankyou to Hop A Long Pete and Uncle Mick for running the bowls after a rough start.
To all the Volunteers and Donations. To Joan for walking the streets and her many phone calls receiving some awesome raffle prizes, and our little pocket rocket Gail McKay who never stops, and to Col emcee who made everything run smoothly, and not to forget Pam in the office who does a lot of work behind the scenes , we raised $7267.40 and to top it of we had a generous donation from Karuah RSL for $1500.00.. I am just overwhelmed with the support for something I am very passionate about.
