Jeremy Stewart suffers severe leg injury….

Last night’s epic FQPL 3 win was marred by a serious leg injury to our striker Jeremy Stewart. Jeremy was taken straight to hospital with what was suspected a double break in his lower leg. It was later confirmed that both bones were broken, the Tibia and Fibula and is now awaiting surgery, hopefully tomorrow.

Jezza is a much loved member of our club and the wider Sunshine Coast football community.

On behalf of Jeremy, the club would like to thank everyone who helped out last night, with special thanks to Lachlan, Zara and Kim for their guidance and expertise. Another special mention to Jeremy’s partner Bek, who helped keep him calm early and while they waited for the Ambulance.

Jeremy would like to also thank everyone who has reached out, checked in and sent their best wishes and support over the last 24 hours. It’s been a pretty rough 24 hours, so all the messages and support have meant a lot.

All the best with your recovery mate and we hope to see you up and about very soon. 💛💙💛

This year we celebrate 21 years of doing the Banana Army shirts, an idea that started for our 2005 Grand finals and we ended up celebrating the senior men’s Double Double (grand final winners and premiers for both grades) only achieved by one other club in the coast.
