🥊 TWO FROM TWO FOR FIGHTER FACTORY BRISBANE!
Two great performances from our boys today at the NXT Boxing event in Albion.
William (Will) Powell got us underway with a classy win over a tough Jason Tanoa from Mayhem Boxing.
At just 13 years of age, Will continues to impress with his composure, footwork, distance management and intelligent punch selection. His ability to read a fight, control the distance and make good decisions under pressure speaks volumes about the boxing IQ he possesses at such a young age. A very mature performance from a young boxer with plenty of potential.
Daniel (Dan) Poy was next up for Fighter Factory, taking on the tricky southpaw Thomas Johnson from Sanctum Forge Boxing Gym.
Dan looked right at home in there today, with those first-fight nerves well and truly behind him. He controlled the pace, stayed composed and implemented the game plan set by coach Aaron. It’s great to see his confidence growing and the work being done in the gym translating into the ring.
A massive congratulations to coaches John and Aaron, who had both boys well prepared and ready to perform today. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes, and it’s great to see that effort paying off.
We’d also like to acknowledge Jason Tanoa and the team at Mayhem Boxing, along with Thomas Johnson and Sanctum Forge Boxing Gym, for the competitive bouts and for bringing out the best in our boys. Respect to both opponents and their coaches.
Thanks to NXT Boxing for putting on the event and giving these young athletes the opportunity to compete.
Proud of the boys, proud of our coaches and proud of the work being put in at Fighter Factory Brisbane.
On to the next one! 🥊
