If you are looking for a real trail running adventure without stepping up to the marathon or ultra distances, the 25KM is a brilliant way to experience the wild beauty of the Otways on foot.
Shorter distances are also available, making Wonderfalls a great event for first-time trail runners, walkers and anyone wanting to explore the Otways at their own pace.

The 75KM course is the full Wonderfalls adventure.
Starting from the coastal township of Lorne on Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, this route takes runners deep into the forests of the Great Otway National Park, through river crossings, cool rainforest, fern-filled gullies, technical singletrack, steep climbs and waterfall-filled terrain.
This is a course shaped by water, distance and wild Otway landscape. Expect long stretches of forest, rewarding descents, remote valleys and the chance to experience parts of the region many visitors never reach.
For experienced runners looking for a big day out, the 75KM delivers a challenging and memorable ultra through one of Victoria’s most beautiful trail running destinations.
Not ready for the ultra? Shorter distances are also available, with options for walkers, first-time trail runners and those looking to build their confidence on the trails.

In one month, we head back to Lorne for one of the most scenic and adventurous races in the Mountain Series.
Set in the spectacular forests of the Great Otway National Park, Wonderfalls takes runners into a landscape shaped by water, with river crossings, fern-filled gullies, towering trees and waterfall-filled trails waiting along the course.
From the opening kilometres, you will feel what makes this race different. Expect flowing forest trails, gentle riverside sections, technical singletrack, steep climbs, rewarding descents and the sounds of water moving through the Otways as you make your way through the forest.
