Built and opened 2017. Build by Convic. Features mini ramp and street circuit. Lobbying commenced around 2011.
Background included 3 petitions, 500 signatures, school consults, inclusion in a municipal rec plan, a parents and kids working group to find a site and prep initial drawings, write letters and work the phones amongst local councillors and MPs, public meetings, workshops, draft plans, more meetings, more workshops, budget approval, grant bids, fund raising, a philanthropic grant, input from a local service club, and then it was built.

An opportunity for young people in regional Victoria!
The University of Melbourne are inviting people aged 12 to 25 from regional Victoria to be a part of their Sonic Youth Project, a creative research project involving young people, musicians, and climate change researchers.
Participants simply need to record a soundscape in a natural setting of their choice and complete a brief online survey. These recordings will contribute to an immersive soundscape and a live music composition to be showcased at the Melbourne Recital Centre!

Stoked Surf Therapy is a free 6-week program for young people aged 14 - 24 year olds. We use surfing as a tool for good mental health, learn about wellbeing and make new connections!
It runs after school on Monday evenings. Limited spots!
