We recently hosted our first CHCC Foundation Corporate partners dinner, and it was a wonderful night of support for our juniors.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and a special thank you to our new sponsors for backing the next generation of CHCC junior golfers.

We were very pleased to be joined by our current Players Series Sydney champion, Declan O’Donovan who shared his journey from junior to PGA Professional and the support provided to assist his journey to date.

It's been a big few months for the Foundation. Our new High Performance program is three months in, with scholarship holders completing physical and biomechanical assessments with two leading professionals who work with Golf Australia's elite programs. Their training is also supported by our partners at Everwilling Health & Fitness.

The Junior Scholarship programs are progressing well with coaching programs well underway, and the Encourage Shield season starting soon.

Congratulations as well to scholarship holder Blake Komorowski on his two recent junior titles.

There's plenty to look forward to over the coming months, with our High Performance scholarship holders entering events such as the NSW and Australian Junior Championships and several of the junior scholarship holders contesting JNJG events.

Hole 7 | Par 4 | 361 m

This hole plays longer than the card suggests with a slight uphill dogleg as you reach the large green. A mound around the green calls for a tricky run up for the slightly offline second shot. There is a gentle slope from back to front so beneath the holes makes holing putts easier.

From the course to the clubhouse. Fresh flavours, great w**e, and a great place to relax after your round. 🍷

Another very special day in our golfing calendar Captains v Presidents Day enjoyed at the Club on Thursday, 17th September by all our women members.

Each year we acknowledge past and present Captains and Presidents for all of the contribution they have made to making women's golf more enjoyable.

The rivalry between Captains and Presidents on the day was infectious but the spirit of the game remained the same…we are all here to enjoy the game with our friends win or lose.

The result was a close battle but at the end of the day the Presidents have won the trophy for 2026 from the Captain’s team with a 12 to 11 win….next year the Captain’s team will be back for the challenge.

Winners on the day:

Captains Team
Carolyn James & Stephanie Badger 52 pts
Runner-Up: Suzanne Fitzsimmons & Melissa Greentree 50 pts

Presidents Team
Kelly Quigley & Pam McDonald 51 pts
Runner-Up: Grace Choi & Stella Kwon 50 pts

A great day was had by all who attended.

Course architect Bob Harrison led a major bunker renovation at Castle Hill, introducing a full network of Mackenzie-style bunkers across the course.

Carefully shaped and strategically positioned, these bunkers not only enhance the course's visual appeal but also add greater strategy and character to every hole while blending naturally into the surrounding landscape.
