💛 Today is R U OK? Day!
Community happens every day in our YMCA SA spaces. This R U OK? Day, we encourage you to take a moment and ask the question.
⚡ Here's the R U OK? Day 4️⃣ FOUR STEP PLAN to start the important conversation with someone you know who might be struggling:
1. Ask: Pick a good time and place, then ask how they're really going.
2. Listen: Take what they say seriously, without judging or rushing them.
3. Encourage action: Help them think through small steps, or point them towards support.
4. Check in: Follow up in a couple of weeks. Staying in touch matters.

🤯🪪 Now there’s no need to carry your access card to scan in! 📱
🦘 Skip the access card altogether and scan in using the QR code in the YMCA SA app.
🥽 Children on your account in swimming lessons also get a QR code, making arrivals quicker and simpler.
😉 The best place to scan the QR Code is at our member scan station, but if you have questions for staff they can also scan you in.

Today we remember.
At YMCA SA, we take a moment today, to pause, to reflect, and to honour those who served. We're proud to be part of communities across the state, and today we stand with them in remembrance; lest we forget. 🌿

Today we pause to take a moment and remember all those who have suffered through the hardship of war, and we reflect on the role our YMCA family play in caring for those on every side of the conflicts.
From the trenches of World War I to the refugee camps of Europe and the east, the YMCA has stood beside soldiers, prisoners of war and displaced families; our teams provided canteens, rest and recreation huts, morale support, and education programs, reaching more than ten million troops and prisoners across two world wars. South Australians were part of that effort, with hundreds of local representatives serving abroad and at home, with many wounded or died while supporting others in hardship. Their compassion, offered freely in the darkest of times, continues to inspire how we serve communities today.
We remember them all; the generations who have acted courageously and with care.
