Starting Tuesday 27th October | Men's QPL6 Trials

We’re looking to build something at Westside Grovely. We know we’re currently in QPL6, but that’s not where we want this club to be long term. We have ambitions to improve our position, team and culture in the senior men's space.

To do that, we need the right people.

With that in mind, we’re inviting new and returning players to come down and be part of what we’re looking to achieve in 2027.

To help us prepare for the trials, please complete our Expression of Interest Form as soon as possible.

CLUB STATEMENT

Queensland football clubs are united.

Westside Grovely FC are one of more than 70 clubs that have come together with one clear message: major decisions affecting players, families, volunteers and community clubs must be transparent, properly explained and developed through genuine consultation.

Our clubs may represent different communities, regions and competitions, but we are united in asking Football Queensland to:
• Pause the proposed 2027 Competition Access Fee model
• Pause the current Affiliation Agreement process
• Provide full financial transparency
• Consult meaningfully with affected clubs
• Work with clubs toward a fair and sustainable way forward

This is not about resisting change. It is about ensuring that change is reasonable, properly planned and does not place unfair costs, risks or administrative burdens on families and volunteer-run clubs.

We remain committed to working constructively with Football Queensland for the benefit of everyone involved in our game.

Together, our clubs are stronger. Together, our voices must be heard.

PREMIERS & CHAMPIONS | U14 BOYS

The U14 Div 4s have had a cracker of a season, taking out the Minor Premiership with 16 wins and 2 draws, and then narrowly winning a really tough bout today in the Grand Final against Moreton City Excelsior 4-3.

This was a back to back win for the team and coach Ben with both Premierships taken out last year also!

Huge thanks to Coach Ben, Assistant Coach Dave, Manager Monique and the boys for another great season at Westside.

Congratulations on this fantastic achievement!

Celebrating August's Junior Coach of the Month: Jason Thickett! 🏆

Great football starts with great leadership, and Jason exemplifies exactly that. Beyond the structured, high-energy drills on the pitch, he has instilled a profound sense of accountability and mutual support within his squad.

By setting elite standards for discipline and communication, Jason is developing not just skilled players, but outstanding teammates.

This positive environment is clearly translating to the pitch, with the Raptors remaining undefeated in their K1 campaign!

Thank you, Jason, for your incredible commitment to our club’s values. Thoroughly deserved! 👏⚽️
