This is a general communication page for Kiama Little Athletics Occasionally we will also publish extracts from our Centre Handbook.

This page was created to allow communication between Kiama Little Athletics Centre, our members, and their families. Information relating to our weekly club meets, scheduling changes, carnivals and events or notifications from Little Athletics NSW will be published here. This page will also be used to promote our family friendly, personal best focused club to assist our families and athletes to goal set and always strive to improve as they develop skills and strength throughout the season. We ask that all people who interact with the Kiama Little Athletics page do so in a respectful and courteous manner. Inappropriate, inflammatory or unpleasant comments will be deleted. Swearing & bad language will be removed by the page administrators. What an amazing way to kick off another season of Kiama Little Athletics! 💚💙

It was fantastic to see the track buzzing again with so many smiling faces, returning families and plenty of new Little Athletes joining us for the first time. ☀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers, officials and parents who jumped in and helped make the morning run so smoothly. Little Athletics simply doesn’t happen without you!

Most importantly, it was great seeing the kids out there having fun, making friends and giving everything a go.

The wait is almost over… Kiama Little Athletics is BACK THIS SATURDAY! 🎉💙💛

We are so excited to welcome everyone back to the track — and especially all the new faces joining our Little A’s family this season! 🙌

⏰ ARRIVE BY 8:30AM

Please allow plenty of time before we start to:
✅ Check your child in
✅ Collect their age bib
✅ Provide proof of age for new registrations — passport, birth certificate or immunisation record

👕 Singlets and crop tops will also be available to purchase on the morning.

Then it’s time to hit the track for another awesome season of running, jumping, throwing, PBs, friendships and plenty of fun! 🏃‍♀️💨

We can’t wait to see everyone again and make some more amazing memories together.

The wait is almost over… a brand-new season of Kiama Little Athletics kicks off THIS SATURDAY MORNING AT 9AM! 🥳

We can’t wait to see all our returning athletes and families back at the track — and we’re just as excited to welcome plenty of new faces to the Kiama Little A’s family! 💙

A new season means new friends, new challenges, new PBs, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, amazing memories made together! 🌟

🌼 Spring has sprung in Kiama… and there’s a different smell in the air.

Freshly cut grass? 🌱
Flowers blooming? 🌸
Swooping magpies? 😬

Nope.

It’s the smell of Little Athletics season getting closer. 🏃💨

The spikes are coming out, the discus are flying and parents everywhere are preparing to hear “What time is my event?” approximately 47 times a night. 😂

The Kiama Little Athletics 2026/27 season kicks off Saturday 19 September and there’s still plenty of time to register!

New athletes are very welcome — no experience needed. Just come along, have a crack and see what you can do.

🌟 Ready to take your athletics to the next level? 🌟

Did you have an amazing time at your school athletics carnival? Why not keep the fun going by joining Kiama Little Athletics this season!

Whether you love to run, jump or throw, Little Athletics is the perfect place to build your skills, make new friends and enjoy friendly competition each week. There are opportunities for everyone, whether you're chasing personal bests, aiming for Zone, Regional or State Championships, or simply looking to have fun and stay active.

📅 Season starts: Saturday 19 September 2026
📍 Kiama Sporting Complex, Havilah Place, Kiama

🏃 First 3 weeks: Saturday mornings (9:00am)

FROM KIAMA TO THE WORLD STAGE 🌏🇦🇺

Huge shoutout to former Kiama Little Athletics athlete Maiya, who has been selected in the Australian Team for the World Junior Championships in Eugene, Oregon this August in the 400m Hurdles! 🔥

This is what the Little Athletics pathway is all about.

We’re incredibly proud to see one of our own taking on the world and showing young athletes in Kiama what’s possible through hard work, commitment and belief.

As school athletics carnival season kicks off across May, everyone at Kiama Little Athletics would like to wish all of our athletes the very best of luck! 🍀💚🖤

Whether you’re aiming for a PB, representing your school for the first time, or just giving every event a go, enjoy the experience and back yourself. We love seeing our athletes take the confidence and skills developed at Little Athletics into their school competitions.

Athletics doesn’t have to stop once the summer season finishes either. One of the great things about the sport is that there are opportunities all year round for kids of all ages and abilities.

For any current athletes looking for some extra competition, race practice, or fine tuning ahead of school carnivals and representative pathways, check out the NSW Athletics Winter Calendar.

A huge congratulations to all our amazing athletes who competed at the Wollongong Diocese and Tongarra District Cross Country events over the past few days 👏

We’ve seen some fantastic performances, great sportsmanship, and even a few green socks out on course representing Kiama – love to see it! 💚🧦

For those who’ve progressed to the next level – MacKillop and Regionals – well done! That’s a brilliant achievement and something to be really proud of 🙌
