πŸ”₯🏁 LOCKIE McHUGH IS COMING TO KINGAROY! 🏁πŸ”₯

The defending PWR TFH Sprintcar Power Tour Champion is headed to Kingaroy, with Lockie McHugh and the Lachlan McHugh Racing team confirmed for Round 2 of the PWR TFH Sprint Car Power Tour presented by Corbets Group & GK's RV on Wednesday, 6th January 2027.

And there aren’t too many bigger names in Australian Sprintcar racing.

McHugh’s rΓ©sumΓ© speaks for itself β€” a former Australian Sprintcar Champion, Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic winner, two-time Sprintcar Speedweek Champion, winner of the inaugural PWR TFH Sprint Car Power Tour, and now a member of the exclusive 100 career Sprintcar A-Main wins club.

He’s raced and won against some of the best Australia, New Zealand and America have to offer, and last summer showed exactly why he’s one of the benchmarks of the sport by taking out the very first Power Tour championship.

Now the NQ7 comes to Ian Boettcher Race Parts Kingaroy Speedway as the defending champion, and we get to see one of Australia’s most accomplished Sprintcar drivers take on the Kingaroy clay.

🏁 $4,000 TO WIN THE 6TH ANNUAL Luke & Matt Excavations PRODUCTION SEDAN STAMPEDE! 🏁

A big part of the 15th Annual Ian Boettcher Race Parts Kings Royal is locked in, with Luke and Matt Excavations returning to back the Production Sedans in 2027.

The 6th Annual Luke and Matt Excavations Production Sedan Stampede will run across Nights 2 & 3 β€” Sunday 24th and Monday 25th January, with $4,000 waiting for the winner. πŸ’°πŸ”₯

Now into its sixth year, the Stampede has become a real feature of Kings Royal weekend and continues to draw a strong field of Production Sedans to Kingaroy.

Luke has been a huge supporter of the event and the division, and we’re very grateful to have him continuing that support again this season.

Based in the Gladstone region, Luke and Matt Excavations specialise in excavation, earthmoving and bulk haulage, with the machinery and experience to take on a wide range of jobs across Central Queensland.

So when you’ve got dirt to move, a site to prepare or a haulage job to get done, keep Luke and Matt Excavations in mind.

πŸ‘‘πŸ”₯ THE KINGS ROYAL POLE SHUFFLE JUST GOT A SERIOUS TWIST! πŸ”₯πŸ‘‘

Thanks to Simon Walker and Shanalee Kerr from S & S Engineering & Maintence, the winner of the 15th Annual Ian Boettcher Race Parts Kings Royal Pole Shuffle will have $1,000 cash sitting there waiting for them.

But taking it won’t be their only option…

Win the Pole Shuffle and the driver gets a choice:

πŸ’° Take the $1,000 and start the Kings Royal A Main from POLE

OR…

πŸ”₯ Give up the $1,000, voluntarily start from 8th, and chase an EXTRA $5,000 if they can come through and WIN!

With the Kings Royal already paying $15,000 to win, that means one driver could potentially walk away with:

πŸ’°πŸ”₯ $20,000 FOR WINNING THE KINGS ROYAL! πŸ”₯πŸ’°

Imagine standing there after winning the Pole Shuffle with $1,000 and pole position guaranteed… then being asked whether you’re prepared to throw it away, start 8th and back yourself for another five grand.

That decision alone is going to be worth watching. πŸ‘€

A massive thank you to Simon and Shanalee from S&S Engineering & Maintenance for putting their support behind the Kings Royal and coming up with something that adds even more excitement to an already massive weekend.

🏁 WHAT A WAY TO KICK OFF THE SEASON! 🏁

A massive thank you to everyone who made our Official Practice night such a smooth and successful one.

To all of the drivers who came along, our officials who kept everything moving, and the volunteers who gave up their time throughout the day and night β€” thank you. Nights like this don’t just happen, and we really appreciate everyone playing their part.

The track held up really well and gave everyone plenty of useful laps, so another huge thank you has to go to the crew who put in the work preparing it in the lead-up to practice. Your efforts certainly paid off.

We did have one small moment of excitement when our club President Pacey decided four wheels were apparently overrated and gave three a go instead after losing one mid-run. πŸ˜† Thankfully there was no damage done, other than giving everyone in the pits something to talk about!

All jokes aside, it was a great night and a really positive way to get the 2026/27 season underway.

Now the attention turns to our first race meeting of the season on Saturday, 24th October β€” the SunPork Group Steven Wheeler Memorial, which will also double as our Pink Night as we once again team up with Pinking up South Burnett. πŸ’—πŸ

There’s plenty more to come between now and then too, with some big announcements on the way, so keep a close eye on our socials.

Thanks again to everyone who helped make practice such a great night.

The season is officially underway β€” and we’re only just getting started. πŸ”₯🏁πŸ₯œ

🏁 FIRST TRACK PREP OF THE SEASON! 🏁

The Kingaroy clay is getting some love today as we get everything ready for Official Practice tomorrow night!

A massive thank you to Robbie Zelinski for once again lending us the grader for the season, Biggie from Bigcrete Industries Pty Ltd for the use of the padfoot roller, and Chris from Wooroolin Machinery for the power harrows.

That support makes a huge difference when it comes to getting the track and venue ready to go.

And of course, a big thank you to all of the volunteers who’ve been out helping with track prep and everything else around the place today. None of this happens without people giving up their time to get stuck in.

We’ve also still got 10 spots available for Official Practice tomorrow night, so if you’ve been thinking about getting some laps in, there’s still time to nominate.

The first laps of the 2026/27 season are almost here.

See you tomorrow night! 🏁πŸ”₯

πŸ’› R U OK? DAY πŸ’›

At Ian Boettcher Race Parts Kingaroy Speedway, we talk a lot about being part of a club, a team and a community β€” and that means looking out for each other away from the track too.

Today is a good reminder to check in on your mates, your crew, your family or anyone who might just need someone to ask:

β€œR U OK?”

You don’t need to fix anything. Sometimes just taking the time to ask, listen and have a proper conversation can make a real difference.

Roy’s usually here for the laughs and mischief, but today he’s backing a much more important message. πŸ₯œπŸ’›

So from Roy and everyone at Kingaroy Speedway β€” check in on your people today, and keep doing it all year round.

A conversation could change a life. πŸ’›πŸ
