🏏 First Innings:
Batting first, Quicksilver looked to set a formidable total, showing intent right from the start but losing just a few too many wickets. The middle order capitalized, though, with some powerful strokeplay from Oliver Hippel and Gerry Martindill, setting a skin of 49 runs. The bowlers from Smash and Grab Merchants fared well, with all bowlers contributing to keep the score as low as possible. The best bowling figures for Smash and Grab came from Patrick Horan, who took 1 wicket for just 8 runs.
🔥 Second Innings:
Chasing the target, Smash and Grab Merchants started strong, with Allan Wisby and Marcus Proud setting a skin of 40 runs, giving their team a confident start. However, Quicksilver’s bowlers tightened the screws in the middle overs, applying pressure with disciplined lines and crucial breakthroughs. It was then left to Tom Reid and Carl Turk to bring the game home for Smash and Grab, and they delivered—losing only one wicket in their four overs, they secured the win with a 38-run partnership.
In the end, the final score was 103 to 98 in Smash and Grab’s favor.
