🏏 WHAT. A. TOURNAMENT! 🏏

The Tasmanian Indoor Premier League (T.I.P.L.) has officially wrapped up, and what a two weekends it was!

Two Saturdays of full-on indoor cricket, with most teams playing three games each afternoon, made for a seriously demanding tournament. By the end there were certainly some tired bodies around The Cricket Hub, but the smiles, laughs and competitive spirit that came with them made every bit of it worthwhile! 🙌

Finals day brought plenty of excitement, with some interesting ladder shake-ups ultimately setting up two cracking finals.

🥇 GOLD FINAL
⚡ Derwent Devils vs Clarence Chargers
What a finish! In an absolute nail-biter, the Derwent Devils held their nerve to claim the title by just 1 run, winning 124–123!

🥉 BRONZE FINAL
Launceston Legends vs Huon Hurricanes
Another incredibly close contest saw the Launceston Legends take the win 119–117.

🏆 T.I.P.L. TOURNAMENT AWARDS

⭐ Player of the Tournament – Jericoh Dickins
A massive contribution of 78 runs across the tournament, averaging 15.5 runs per game. (Overall contribution)

🏏 Batsman of the Tournament – Jarrod Johnson
A fantastic 124 runs from 6 games, averaging 20.67 runs per game with the bat.

🎯 Bowler of the Tournament – Chris Munro
A standout performance with an impressive 15 wickets throughout the tournament.

A massive THANK YOU to every player who took part and helped make the inaugural T.I.P.L. such a success, and a special shoutout to everyone who made the trip up from the north of the state. 🫶

We also couldn't do it without our amazing umpires and staff, who worked tirelessly across both weekends to keep this 8-a-side competition running.

And of course, a huge thank you to our tournament sponsor Pied Piper Pest Control for getting behind the T.I.P.L. 👏

We’re already looking forward to bringing more tournaments like this to The Cricket Hub in the years ahead.

Until then… we’ll see you all back on the courts soon! 🏏🔥

Congratulations to all the teams, and thanks for making the T.I.P.L. one to remember!

🏏 TIPL ROUND 1 - WHAT A DAY! 🔥

It was a busy one at The Cricket Hub as six enthusiastic teams hit the courts for Round 1 of the Tasmanian Indoor Premier League! 🏆

Every team played three games throughout the day, and while the competition was fierce, it’s fair to say the three game schedule took its toll on a few players who perhaps overestimated their pre-season fitness! 😂💨

That certainly didn’t dampen the vibe though, with plenty of competitive cricket, big hits, wickets, laughs and great team spirit across the centre.

And remember… Round 2 is coming! 🔥🏏
