Originally an STTTA player and administrator, recently patron of TTT.
Neil will be sadly missed

Vale Neil Harwood OAM (1943–2026)

Neil was one of the most influential figures in Australian table tennis history, dedicating more than five decades to the sport as a player, administrator, official and leader.

From his early involvement in Tasmania to senior roles with Table Tennis Australia, the International Table Tennis Federation, and the Olympic and Commonwealth Games, Neil's impact was immense and felt at every level, both nationally and globally. His vision, integrity, and tireless service helped shape the sport we know today.

Neil's contribution was recognised with life memberships across multiple organisations and the Medal of the Order of Australia, but his greatest legacy is the generations of players, officials and administrators he inspired along the way.

Our thoughts are with Neil's wife Sandra, his extended family and his many friends and colleagues throughout the Australian and global table tennis communities.

Vale, and thank you for everything ❤️🏓
