🇨🇦⚾ WELCOME TO PADRES, AMELIA! ⚾🇨🇦

It’s taken a bit longer than we thought, but her VISA ✅ is approved and FLIGHTS ✈️ are booked - she arrives this coming Wednesday!!!!

Redcliffe Padres is thrilled to welcome our Canadian import, Amelia, who will also step into the role of Women’s Division 1 Head Coach for the 2026/27 season! ❤️🖤

Amelia brings an impressive playing background across both baseball and softball. A versatile utility player with experience throughout the infield and outfield, she is a smart and strategic hitter who thrives on creating opportunities, driving in teammates and finding the gaps.
Her achievements include an OCAA Provincial Championship gold medal, Women’s Team BC Baseball gold medal, OCAA Second Team All-Star honours and two seasons as her college team captain.
Amelia is equally passionate about coaching and the growth of women’s baseball. Having worked with the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Academy and helped coach the Ontario Blue Jays 12U team, she is committed to helping players develop their skills, confidence and love for the game.
After experiencing firsthand how discouraging baseball could sometimes be for a young female player, Amelia wants every athlete she coaches to feel supported, valued and confident on the field. Her goal is to help players discover their “why,” enjoy the game and develop skills they can carry with them throughout life.

We’re incredibly excited to welcome Amelia to the Padres family and can’t wait to see the impact she makes as both a player and coach this season.

Teams are being finalised and its important you attend (at least the on field training at 630pm if the batting cage time is too early for work commitments etc) so we can get the teams balanced and ready to go for the season that is just a few weeks away.

TONIGHT :
Wednesday 5.30pm to 6.30pm in batting cages and then 6.30pm on Field 2

CONGRATULATIONS KAI!! ♥️⚾️♥️⚾️

Redcliffe Padres couldn’t be prouder of Kai, who has earned a well-deserved call-up to Double-A with the Texas Rangers organisation!
This is another incredible milestone in Kai’s professional baseball journey — but for us at the Padres, it’s also a celebration of 13 years of junior loyalty, development and dedication to one club. ❤️
Kai spent all of his junior baseball journey right here at Redcliffe Padres, progressing through our junior ranks and developing his skills, confidence and love for the game. His journey is a fantastic example of what can happen when a young player is supported, challenged and given the opportunity to grow within their home club.
We are incredibly proud to have played such a significant part in Kai’s development into professional baseball and even prouder that, despite reaching the highest levels of the game, Kai continues to give back to the Padres and our junior players
Just months ago, our Brisbane North Senior League team had the incredible opportunity to visit Kai’s home ground in Spartanburg, South Carolina, making the connection between his professional journey and his Padres roots even more special. 🇺🇸⚾️
Kai is also a regular guest instructor at our market-leading Monday Night Baseball School, generously giving his time and providing free tuition to our Little League players. His willingness to give back and help the next generation is something we are incredibly proud of.
One player. One club. Thirteen years. And now Double-A. ❤️
Congratulations, Kai! We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way.
