β€œTHE PERSONAL TRAINER I WISH I’D FOUND MUCH EARLIER.” πŸ’ͺ
That's probably one of the best compliments I could receive from a client.
Luke has been training with me for around 18 months now, and this is what he had to say:
β€œPeter is the personal trainer I wish I’d found much earlier. He always seems to know better than I do just how far I can push myself. He teaches and enforces good form from day 1, and tailors every session to meet my goals. Every session is both fun and gruelling in the right way… I could not have made the progress I have in the last 18 months without his support!”

β€” Luke H, Tank Training client β€” 18 months
This is exactly how I approach training.
It's not about destroying someone every session just for the sake of it. It's about learning how to train properly, progressively pushing what you're capable of, and having a program built around your goals and your ability.
Sometimes you need someone there who knows when you've genuinely reached your limit β€” and when you've still got another rep in you. πŸ˜‚
I'm currently taking on a small number of new 1-on-1 clients at Top Gym Knoxfield.
If you've been thinking about getting stronger, building muscle, losing body fat or simply getting back into training, send me a message and we can have a chat. πŸ‘Š

WHAT'S YOUR WHY?

Everyone has a reason.

For me, it's my kids.

They're the reason I get up and get s**t done. The reason I train. The reason I care about what I eat. The reason I want to be stronger, healthier and better than I was yesterday.

I'm not perfect. Some days are harder than others. Sometimes life gets bloody messy.

But when motivation disappears, I remember why I started.

Training has never just been about lifting heavier weights or looking better for me. It's about being strong enough for life. Being there for my kids. Setting an example. And hopefully still being that strong, annoying Dad for many years to come. πŸ˜‚

Your reason doesn't have to be the same as mine.

Maybe it's your kids.
Maybe it's your health.
Maybe you want your confidence back.
Maybe you're tired of feeling like you've let yourself go.
Maybe you just want to prove something to yourself.

Whatever it is β€” find your reason and don't lose sight of it.

So I'm curious...

What's your why? πŸ‘Š

Drop it in the comments. You never know β€” yours might be exactly what somebody else needs to read today.

YOU DON'T NEED TO LIVE IN THE GYM TO GET STRONGER. πŸ’ͺ

One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is thinking they need to train 5–6 days a week to make real progress.

You don't.

If you've got work, kids, school runs and everything else life throws at you, 3 good strength sessions a week can get a hell of a lot done.

Focus on the basics.

Squat. Hinge. Push. Pull. Carry.

Train with good technique. Keep track of what you're lifting. Gradually increase the weight, reps or quality of your movement.

And most importantly β€” be consistent.

Three sessions every week for the next 12 months will beat smashing yourself six days a week for three weeks and then giving up because your training doesn't fit your life.

I'm a busy dad myself. I understand that sometimes the hardest part isn't doing the workout β€” it's finding somewhere to put it in your week.

Training should work with your life, not against it.

Get in. Do the work. Get stronger. Get on with your day. πŸ‘Š

STRONGER IN THE GYM. STRONGER IN LIFE. πŸ’ͺ

One of the things I love most about strength training is that the benefits don't stop when you walk out of the gym.

Samantha has been training with me for over a year, and this is what she had to say:

β€œI've really enjoyed training with Peter. He has a great balance of being supportive while still pushing me to progress, and he always adapts my training to where I'm at and what I'm capable of.

His knowledge and guidance have made a huge difference to my strength and what I can do both in the gym and in life.”

β€” Samantha, Tank Training client 1+ year

That's exactly what I want for my clients.

Not just lifting heavier weights.

More confidence. More capability. Getting stronger for whatever life throws at you.

Everyone starts from a different place, which is why I don't believe in cookie-cutter training. Your program should be built around your goals, your ability and your life.

I'm currently taking on a small number of new 1-on-1 clients at Top Gym Knoxfield.

If getting stronger has been sitting on your β€œI really need to start doing that” list for a while, send me a DM and let's have a chat. πŸ‘Š

SPRING IS HERE 🌱πŸ’ͺ

And after being pretty quiet on here for a while, I figured it was about time I got Tank Training moving again too.

For those who don't know me, I'm Peter. I've been training and coaching for over 10 years, and strength training has always been at the heart of what I do.

I've also been through my own journey. I've lost 30kg, built muscle, got stronger and learned firsthand that getting results isn't about being perfect β€” it's about finding something you can actually stick to.

I'm also a busy dad, so I understand that most people don't have endless hours to spend in the gym. Between kids, work and everything else life throws at you, training needs to fit into your life, not take it over.

That's what Tank Training is about.

Getting stronger. Building muscle. Losing body fat. Improving confidence. And learning how to train properly.

Whether you're completely new to the gym or you've been training for years, I'll meet you where you're at and build your training around you.

I'm currently training from Top Gym Knoxfield and, for the first time in a while, I have a limited number of spaces available for new 1-on-1 clients.

So if you've been thinking about getting back into training β€” or you're already training but feel like you're spinning your wheels β€” spring is a pretty bloody good time to start.

Send the page a message or DM me at .bearded.tank and have a chat. No hard sell.

Let's get stronger. πŸ‘Š
