Kevin & the Bell Family are no strangers to Wandecla.
Our love and support go out to his family at this sad time.

KPCA is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr Kevin Bell - a game changer in the northern pastoral industry, a mentor to many and a friend to all.

Kevin had a unique ability to translate his vast scientific knowledge into practical, on-the-ground applications for northern pastoralists. His valued input, advice and support, combined with his genuine friendship, made an enduring contribution to our industry.

Kevin’s caring and compassionate nature, coupled with his enthusiasm for life and all it had to offer, made him a magnet for young people within our industry. He was an exceptional role model and mentor, always generous with his time, knowledge and encouragement.

Kevin will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his contribution to the northern pastoral industry and the positive legacy he leaves behind will endure.

Our sincere condolences to Kevin’s family, friends and co-workers, and to the many, many people across our industry who had the pleasure of knowing and working with him.

And just like that… the first weekend of the season for us is done and dusted! 🏇

We didn’t exactly smash the camera roll this weekend, but we did manage to snap these two subbies (Edie & Georgie) collecting their well deserved prizes! 🏆

What an awesome weekend watching the Test Matches, catching up with everyone and getting into the first carnival of the season for Kojonup.

Well done South Midlands Polocrosse Club for a cracker weekend!

CALLING ALL HORSE OWNERS – HORSES NEEDED NOW!

This October, the Junior International Test Series will be hosted at Foothills Polocrosse Club, bringing together some of the most talented young polocrosse players from across Australia and overseas.

To help make this exciting event possible, we are seeking Expressions of Interest for loan horses for the visiting junior players.

If you have a suitable horse and would like to support the future of our sport, we'd love to hear from you. Your generosity will help create an incredible experience for these young athletes while showcasing the wonderful spirit of the polocrosse community.

Vale Bruce Eyres 🤍

The Kojonup Polo & Polocrosse Club would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Eyres family and all who knew Bruce.

Bruce was a true horseman and a valued part of the polo and polocrosse community. He began playing Polocrosse for Kulin around 1975, before moving into Polo with Mininooka Polo Club in 1977. He later played for Perth Polo Club, and in the early 1980s made Kojonup his home, where he became part of our local club story. His passion for the sport was carried on through his family, with his son Michael playing for Kojonup in 1991.

Bruce’s contribution to the game, his sportsmanship, and his love of horses will be fondly remembered by many across generations and clubs.

Our thoughts are with Bruce’s family and friends at this sad time.

Bruce’s funeral will be held on February 6th at 10:00am at Karrakatta.

Rest peacefully, Bruce. 🐎💙
