Please be aware that next week the pest treatment people will be attending the club. We are heading towards nesting season so all nesting materials (e.g. Lost and Found) will be removed. Please ensure you clean the kitchen surface after use etc. As an overall statement keep things clean and tidy.

Club Boats and Members Boats
We have been informed that it appears that someone has been using a members boat. The boat is located at G19. 2nd from bottom LHS of first door of new shed. The boat has been damaged. As we move forwards we will be placing all club boats in probably two clearly defined areas.

Members boats are for their owners only unless the owner has given you permission. If unsure if a boat is a club boat check with a coach.

Maroochy River / Dunethin Rock Race. Will be held on Saturday Sept 26th. Race start time will be approximately 8am. Race will be from the rock to the club. Details regarding precise start time and how many start groups we have, closer to the time.

Duenthin Rock Race - Update
We have discovered that on the day we want to run the race there is something called the King Of The Mountain 2026 (its a kids camp). The Dunethin Rock campground caretaker is on holiday at the moment but a message has been left to contact us. The 26th is the last day of the camp.

If we are advised that probably not a good idea for us to be there we will be looking at October dates. On a side note it would appear, based on site bookings, there appears to be events running all through August / Sept.

Dunethin Rock / Maroochy River Race

Provisionally it will be running on Saturday 26th August from the rock to the club. This will be confirmed within next 6 or 7 days. We will also have a provisional timetable available.

We will be running this as a bare bones race. You time yourself, and at the end write the details down. We will then post results on the club website.

The course is 17km long. We are looking at having a second start point on Coolum Creek Boat Ramp. This would reduce the distance to around 10Km.

Also we are going to be setting up club time trials on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Time Trial Ran Last Saturday.
Thankyou to everyone that took part last Saturday in the time trial. We aim to make this a regular event with a published calendar. Results are posted here https://sunshinecoastpaddlesportsclub.com.au/sckc/club-time-trials/

Moving forward we will probably develop a smarter front end for displaying results but this will do for now.

Club Race This Saturday - August 8th.
Toms 5:30am group will be running and paddling from the club to the canal. Think he will be running this as a race.

Then two starts, one at 6:45am and one at 6:55am. So slow ones first !! This will be out to the marker and then heading up Petrie, turn at the bridge and back to club house. This is about 7km.

Remember stay on the right !!!!!

There will be a log book in the club kitchen where you can write your name, boat type, and time. I will then get these up on the website. We may use the first two of what is hopefully a regular thing to create a handicap system of scoring.

The septic tank maybe full.
Hi, just received a report the waste tank maybe full. Please do not use showers, toilets, kitchen sink until we get a chance to check. We will check around update around 9am tomorrow. There are toilets in park where market is, but if coaches have children please es**rt. We will check at 7am but I need time to get back home to log on to facebook and send an update out.

Club Race Saturday 8th August.
We will be running a bare bones club race on Sat 8th August, time yourselves ! One course will be from club house to the bridge on Petrie creek and back. For the younger ones we will look at a shorter course, just no idea what yet .... First start will be 6:45am.

Over time we want to develop this as a regular occurrence over maybe a number of different courses and race types. So the first few times we do this it will be turn up and time yourself.
