🧡 MUSGRAVE’S FUTURE – THE CONVERSATION STARTS TONIGHT

As we look ahead to the AGM and the 2027 season, we need members to step forward and be part of shaping the next chapter of Musgrave Mustangs FC.

Join Mel, Georgia, Tara & Brookelyn tonight to ask questions, discuss and learn more about the Management Committee roles that need filling:

• President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Junior/Senior Vice President

We’re also looking for business-minded members to help explore a more sustainable club structure, including potential paid operational roles, as well as members interested in investing in or sponsoring the club.

With discussions around 2027 trials, player pathways and the future structure of Musgrave already underway, now is the time to get involved. Don’t wait until the AGM to consider a role - there needs to be time for learning, preparation and handover.

⚠️ The President, Secretary and Treasurer are constitutionally required positions. If the required positions are not filled at the AGM, the club cannot legally operate until they are filled.

📍 TONIGHT – Tuesday 13 October
🕕 6:00pm
📌 Musgrave Clubhouse

You don’t need to be considering a committee position to attend. Come along, ask questions, share your ideas and find out how you can contribute.

Musgrave has a strong foundation and a great community, but we cannot continue relying on the same small group of people indefinitely.

The future of Musgrave depends on all of us - let’s come together and make the next chapter a strong one. 🧡🐴

❗ FIELDS CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS ❗

Please be advised that Musgrave FC’s right to use the fields for the 2026 season has now concluded, and Gold Coast City Council will be using the coming months for renovations and field rejuvenation works to prepare the grounds for the 2027 season.

🚫 Please do not access or use the fields during the renovation period. Closure Signs will be displayed on the fields.

Continued use of the grounds during this time can interfere with the renovation works and delay the commencement of our Right of Use for 2027, which may impact our preparations for the new season. Information regarding the re-opening of the fields in the new year will be shared later.

We ask all players, families and club members to respect the closures and allow the fields the time needed to recover.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we prepare for another season at Musgrave. 🧡

❗️Please note: This does not affect Junior Trials. As stated in the Junior Trials post, they will be held on Legends FC's fields, not on Musgrave's fields. Thank you

08/10/2026

Queensland football clubs are united.

More than 100 clubs have come together with one clear message: major decisions affecting players, families, volunteers and community clubs must be transparent, properly explained and developed through genuine consultation.

Our clubs may represent different communities, regions and competitions, but we are united in asking Football Queensland to:

• Pause the proposed 2027 Competition Access Fee model
• Pause the current Affiliation Agreement process
• Provide full financial transparency
• Consult meaningfully with affected clubs
• Work with clubs toward a fair and sustainable way forward

This is not about resisting change. It is about ensuring that change is reasonable, properly planned and does not place unfair costs, risks or administrative burdens on families and volunteer-run clubs.

We remain committed to working constructively with Football Queensland for the benefit of everyone involved in our game.

Together, our clubs are stronger. Together, our voices must be heard.
