2026 DIV 1 MEN PREMIERS
10 years in the making
The last time Burleigh Div 1 Men won a premiership was, following back-to-back wins in 2015 and 2016. A young Louis and Jun were there for both, along with Weissy and Timmy.
Now, 10 years later, Jun is coaching, Louis is co-captain, Weissy is back, and Timmy is still going, with his 300th Div 1 men game coming early next year.
For everyone else, it’s been a long time chasing that feeling. A few grand finals, plenty of close calls and a lot of years wondering when the Div 1 Men would finally get another one.
This one means a lot. For the boys who won it 10 years ago and moved on before we could get back there. For everyone who has pulled on the Div 1 shirt along the way. And for this group that finally got it done.
10 years. A long journey, plenty of heartbreak, but well worth the wait.
Final score, 1-1 (4-2) after shootouts.
