Once I finish making a leash or belt I get an old cloth and oil it for a few good sessions to get the leather nice an pliable. ⚒️ It’s one of my favourite parts of the leash or belt making process because it’s that final step to having it useable. 😊 With the patterning designs on the leashes and belts being so small, it is my advice not to use cream-based oiling products that will fill in the stamped patterning and leave build-up. The liquid oil is best for getting into the smaller sections and is almost immediately soaked into the leather, so it’s less fussy. Leaving the leather with a natural sort of lustre too, which is nice! ❤️ The leather won’t need much oil to bring back to new, but my main feature of leashes and belts is trying to get them feeling “worn-in”, like your favourite pair of old jeans. ❤️🥰☀️ Every leash or belt sent out includes a mini oil jar. 😘 Merry Christmas! 🌲✨
