🖤❤️💛 **HOLD YOUR HEADS HIGH, MOZZIES – WHAT A SEASON!** 💛❤️🖤

Saturday's Grand Final didn't finish the way we had hoped, with our Senior Men going down to the Katherine Camels after a hard-fought four quarters.

🏉 **MOZZIES 7.9 (51)**
🏉 **CAMELS 9.9 (63)**

There wasn't much between the two sides all day. Our boys fought hard until the final siren and gave everything they had for the jumper, their families and their community.

There were some 50/50 calls that didn't fall our way, but that's football. We hold our heads high and congratulate the Camels on their win.

**BOYS – BE PROUD!** ❤️💛🖤

To make the **BIG DANCE for the first time in 18 YEARS** is an incredible achievement. You brought Grand Final football back to Lajamanu and gave our community something to be proud of.

One of the best sights on Saturday was looking around the Katherine Showgrounds and seeing the huge crowd of **BLACK, RED AND YELLOW**! 🖤❤️💛

Our community turned up in numbers and got behind the boys. The banner looked absolutely awesome too! A massive shout-out to **Aker**, who stayed up all night getting it finished for the team. That is Mozzie spirit! 🦟

To our **coaching staff, committee, volunteers and entire support crew** – THANK YOU. The work behind the scenes throughout this season has been massive.

And a huge thank you to our sponsors **GMAAAC, Lajamanu Store, Yandamah and Nyirrunggulung-Rise** for your support throughout the year. Without the organisations and people who back our club, none of this would be possible.

Most importantly, thank you to our **players, families, supporters and Lajamanu community**.

This season has created memories, made history and shown what this club and community can achieve together.

We didn't bring the flag home this time, but this is only the beginning.

🔥 **WE'LL BE BACK BIGGER AND STRONGER IN 2027!** 🔥

🖤❤️💛 **MOZZIE'S PRIDE WORLDWIDE!** 💛❤️🖤

🏆 **NORTHERN WARLPIRI MOZZIES vs KATHERINE CAMELS** 🏆

This is it, Mozzies! 🦟🔥

After a season filled with **blood, sweat and tears**, our Senior Men have earned their place in the **2026 BRFL GRAND FINAL!**

📅 **Saturday 19 September 2026**
⏰ **2:00PM**
📍 **Katherine Showgrounds**
🏉 **Mozzies vs Katherine Camels**

What an incredible effort it has taken to get here.

Week after week our players, coaches, support staff and supporters have travelled the long road between **Lajamanu and Katherine**, putting in thousands of kilometres just for the opportunity to represent our community and wear the black, red and yellow.

There have been long drives, hard games, injuries, sacrifices, close wins, tough losses and plenty of challenges along the way.

But through it all, this group has kept turning up, kept fighting and kept believing in each other.

Now all that hard work has given us the opportunity to play for the **FLAG!** 🏆

The Katherine Camels have been a great opponent all season and we've had some massive battles against them. We know Saturday will be another tough contest.

But there is **ONE GAME LEFT. ONE MORE FIGHT. ONE MORE WIN NEEDED.**

To everyone from Lajamanu and our wider Mozzies family – let's turn the Katherine Showgrounds **BLACK, RED AND YELLOW!** 🖤❤️💛

Come down, make some noise and get behind our boys as they give everything they've got to bring the Premiership Cup home to **LAJAMANU!**

📺 **CAN'T MAKE IT TO KATHERINE?**

You can still get behind the Mozzies! The Grand Final will be **streamed LIVE and FREE** on the AFLNTv YouTube Channel.

🔥 **THE HARD WORK IS DONE. NOW IT'S TIME TO FINISH THE JOB!** 🔥

🏆 **LET'S BRING THAT FLAG HOME TO LAJAMANU!** 🏆

🖤❤️💛 **GRAND FINAL BOUND – WHAT A WIN, MOZZIES!** 💛❤️🖤

🔥 **OUR SENIOR MEN ARE INTO THE GRAND FINAL!** 🔥

What A Game. What A Finish. What A Win! 🦟🏉

Our A Grade Men have won another absolute **NAIL-BITER**, defeating the Arnhem Crows in the Preliminary Final and booking our place in the **BIG DANCE!**

🏉 **MOZZIES 7.17 (59)**
🏉 **CROWS 8.7 (55)**

The boys held a small lead for most of the game and dominated the opportunities in front of goal. With **24 scoring shots to 15**, we had our chances to put the game away, but 17 behinds kept the door open and the Crows kept coming.

Then came an unbelievable final few minutes.

With around **2 minutes remaining**, the Crows hit the front and suddenly our season was on the line.

But these Mozzies weren't finished! 🦟🔥

The boys kept fighting, kept believing and with just **30 SECONDS LEFT ON THE CLOCK**, we kicked the goal that put us back in front!

**FINAL SIREN – MOZZIES WIN BY 4 POINTS!** ❤️💛🖤

What a win. What a game. What a group of men.

All the kilometres travelled. All the training. All the sacrifices. All the hard work throughout our first season has earned us the opportunity we wanted…

🏆 **A SPOT IN THE BRFL GRAND FINAL!** 🏆

Now we turn our attention to next Saturday and one final battle against the **Camels**.

We've worked too hard to stop now.

One game. One opportunity. **ONE MORE WIN.**

Let's get behind our Senior Men and help bring that flag home to **Lajamanu!**

🔥 **THE MOZZIES ARE GOING TO THE BIG DANCE!** 🔥

📸 **PLAYERS & SUPPORTERS** – if you have any photos or videos from the game, make sure you post them and **TAG NORTHERN WARLPIRI MOZZIE'S FOOTBALL CLUB** so we can see and share all the great moments! 🎥🦟

🖤❤️💛 **B GRADE – WHAT A FIRST SEASON!** 💛❤️🖤

Our B Grade Men's Cup journey came to an end on Saturday, going down to a **young, quick and talented Gurindji Eagles side** in the Preliminary Final.

It wasn't the result we wanted, but we couldn't be prouder of every player who pulled on the black, red and yellow this season. 🦟

Our first B Grade season may have been short, but it was definitely a fun one!

One of the best things about this team was seeing the mix of our **young up-and-coming players alongside some of our Lajamanu legends and older heads** who got the opportunity to pull the Mozzies jumper on and have run.

That's what community football is all about. ❤️💛🖤

For our younger players, this competition gave them the chance to experience men's football, learn from the older boys and continue developing their game.

For some of our legends, it was another opportunity to represent Lajamanu, have a kick with family and friends and proudly wear the Mozzies colours.

And together, in our **FIRST SEASON**, they made it all the way to a **PRELIMINARY FINAL!** 🔥

That's something to be proud of.

Congratulations to the Gurindji Eagles and good luck in the Grand Final.

To all our B Grade players, coaches, helpers, families and supporters who got behind the team this year – **THANK YOU!**

We've learnt plenty, had plenty of laughs and created some great memories along the way.

This is only the beginning for our Men's Cup team.

Rest up boys because we'll be back in **2027 bigger, better and ready to go again!** 💪🔥

🖤❤️💛 **YOUNG BLOOD. OLD HEADS. ONE MOZZIES FAMILY.** 💛❤️🖤

🖤❤️💛 **DO OR DIE – PRELIMINARY FINAL TIME!** 💛❤️🖤

This is it, Mozzies! 🦟🔥

Two teams. Two Preliminary Finals. Two chances to make a Grand Final!

This Saturday the **Northern Warlpiri Mozzies** head to the **Katherine Showgrounds** for a massive day of finals football, with both our B Grade and A Grade Men's teams putting their seasons on the line.

🏉 **B GRADE vs GURINDJI EAGLES**

⏰ **1:30PM**
📍 **Katherine Showgrounds**

Our B Grade boys take on the Gurindji Eagles for a place in the **Men's Cup Grand Final!**

What an achievement for this team in its first season. We've brought together some of our experienced old heads who still love pulling on the Mozzies jumper with some exciting young up-and-coming talent getting their opportunity to play men's football.

Now they get the chance to play for a spot in the big one!

🔥 **WIN AND WE'RE INTO THE GRAND FINAL!**

🏉 **A GRADE vs ARNHEM CROWS**

⏰ **4:30PM**
📍 **Katherine Showgrounds**

Then it's time for our A Grade Men to take on the **Arnhem Crows** with a place in the **BRFL Grand Final** on the line.

We've had some great battles with the Crows this season and we know this one is going to be another huge contest.

The boys have worked hard all year to get themselves into this position. Now it's about leaving everything on the field.

🔥 **WIN AND WE'RE OFF TO THE BIG DANCE!** 🔥

Saturday is going to be a great showcase of community football, with **young up-and-coming talent and plenty of experienced old heads** on display across both games.

This is what finals footy is all about!

We need our Mozzie family there in numbers. Get down to the Katherine Showgrounds, wear your **black, red and yellow** and get behind both teams!

From Lajamanu to Katherine – let's make some noise! ❤️💛🖤

🏆 **TWO GAMES. TWO GRAND FINAL SPOTS ON THE LINE. ONE CLUB.**

Let's get both teams into the big dance!

09/09/2026

🖤❤️💛 **A TOUGH WEEKEND – BUT SO MUCH TO BE PROUD OF** 💛❤️🖤

It was a disappointing weekend on the scoreboard for the Northern Warlpiri Mozzies, with both our Women's and A Grade Men's teams going down to the Camels in Week 1 of the BRFL Finals.

🏉 **WOMEN'S TEAM – WHAT A SEASON!**

**Mozzies 3.11 (29) defeated by Camels 7.5 (47)**

Our women fought hard and had their opportunities to win the game but just couldn't ice the goals when the chances came. The 11 behinds show we created plenty of opportunities but unfortunately couldn't convert them.

Ladies, **HOLD YOUR HEADS HIGH!** ❤️💛🖤

What you have achieved in your **FIRST EVER SEASON** is amazing. From taking the field for the first time, winning games and continuing to improve, to finishing in the **Top 4 and playing finals football** – you have made history.

You represented your families, community and Lajamanu with pride, and the whole club is incredibly proud of you.

Rest up and enjoy what you have achieved because…

🔥 **NEXT YEAR – LOOK OUT!** 🔥

🏉 **A GRADE MEN – WE'RE NOT DONE YET!**

**Mozzies 12.8 (80) defeated by Camels 15.3 (93)**

The boys played hard and stayed in the contest, but we just couldn't ice those important moments when we needed to.

The good news is our season is **NOT OVER!**

We now move into the **PRELIMINARY FINAL against the Crows**, with everything on the line.

🏆 **WIN AND WE'RE INTO THE GRAND FINAL!** 🏆

It's time to regroup, get around each other and bring the strong community football and Mozzie spirit we've shown all season.

To everyone who continues to travel, support and get behind our teams – **THANK YOU!**

🔥 **ONE MORE WIN FOR A SHOT AT THE FLAG!** 🔥

🖤❤️💛 **FINALS FOOTY IS HERE – WEEK 1!** 💛❤️🖤

The home-and-away season is behind us and now it's time for **FINALS FOOTBALL!** 🦟🔥

What a season it has already been for the Northern Warlpiri Mozzies, but we're not finished yet!

This weekend our **Women's and Men's A Grade Teams both take on the Camels** in two massive finals.

🏉 **WOMEN'S TEAM vs CAMELS – DO OR DIE**

For our women, it's simple – **WIN AND WE PLAY AGAIN NEXT WEEK!**

What an incredible achievement just to be here.

In their **first-ever season**, our women have made history, won games, earned the respect of the competition and secured their place in the Top 4.

Now it's time for their first taste of **BRFL Finals Football!**

Ladies, the entire club and Lajamanu community is already proud of you. Take the field with confidence, play for each other, play with that toughness and Mozzie spirit you've shown all year and give it everything you've got.

🔥 **LET'S GET THAT WIN AND GET TO NEXT WEEK!** 🔥

🏉 **MEN'S A GRADE vs CAMELS – QUALIFYING FINAL**

Our A Grade Men also face the Camels in a huge **Qualifying Final**.

The boys have produced some fantastic football this season and shown they can match it with the best teams in the competition.

Now the opportunity is right in front of us.

🔥 **WIN AND WE'RE STRAIGHT INTO THE GRAND FINAL!** 🔥

Bring our strong community football, play for each other and leave everything out on the field.

This is what we've worked for all season.

To our supporters – **WE NEED YOU!**

Get to the ground, wear your **black, red and yellow**, get around both teams and make some noise!

Our players have represented Lajamanu with pride all season. Now let's stand behind them as they take on finals.

🖤❤️💛 **ONE CLUB. ONE COMMUNITY. ONE DREAM.** 💛❤️🖤

🏆 **FINALS TIME – LET'S BRING IT HOME!** 🏆

🦟 **WATCH OUT WE BITE!** 🦟

❤️💛🖤 **UP THE MOZZIES!** 🖤❤️💛
