Life’s too short to spectate.
Some of the simplest things in life are the best…
A fire to sit around on a crisp High Country night. Dingoes howling in the distance, boobook owls calling, sugar gliders making that weird little chirp… and a wild sambar honking after catching the slightest scent of a man crossing its path.
This is how I quiet my mind.
Maybe these moments mean more because they aren’t everyday. I’ve worked hard and sacrificed plenty of hours to earn the time to sit there and simply appreciate them.
Work hard. Make time for the simple things.
Don’t just watch life pass by. Get out there and live it.
And don’t forget to thank your mate, your wife, your husband — whoever shares the journey with you — for simply being there.
Sometimes, that’s all you really need.
