This week, proud parents and families gathered in a heartfelt celebration to support our incredible girls as they prepare to take on the Frankston Raiders in our club’s first ever grand finals!
From humble beginnings, the Mernda Dragons have grown into a small yet mighty club, embodying faith, service, and unwavering commitment to our community. We are especially proud of our focus on female participation, recognising the immense value our girls bring to the team and the club as a whole.
These girls are shaping the future for younger girls, inspiring those already in the club and those yet to join by demonstrating what’s possible.
As these young athletes step onto the field, they don’t just represent themselves - they represent the spirit of our entire community. Let’s wish them well as they make history for the Dragons!

Countdown is on to round 13! Tomorrow will be another big day of hosting some fantastic rugby at the Dragons Den 🔴⚪️⚫️

We’ve got Welcome to Country at 8:50AM, boots on the field by 9AM, delicious hot food at the canteen, our U9’s & U10’s bake sale, raffle tickets on sale, a lot going on, we’re looking forward to another amazing day of entertaining footy! See you there Dragons 🔥

Tomorrow The Dragons will be acknowledging the NRL Indigenous Round before the first games at 9am
~
We invite all players, families and supporters and our visiting teams to gather on Field 1 at 8:50am for Acknowledgement of Country.
~
If you have Indigenous jerseys, shirts or cultural attire, you’re warmly encouraged to wear them as we come together to recognise and celebrate the rich cultures, histories and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We look forward to sharing this special moment together before a great day of hosting footy at the den.
