🌱 A little canteen update for tonight! 🍔

For anyone wondering — we haven’t forgotten our vegetarian friends! 💚 We have a vegetarian burger available tonight. 🌱🍔

We’ll also definitely look at adding GF options to the menu next week. Thanks for your feedback and suggestions!

🙏 WE NEED YOUR HELP TONIGHT! 🙏

We’re a little short on committee members this evening due to sickness and other commitments, so we’d really appreciate some extra hands to help keep things running smoothly.

If your age group has plenty of parent helpers tonight, please consider popping over to the canteen and lending a hand. Even 30 minutes would make a huge difference! 💙💚

We’re all volunteers, and when we work together, it makes the night so much easier for everyone.

🏃‍♀️👟 NEW TO ATHLETICS? LET’S TALK SPIKES! 👟🏃‍♂️

We know spikes can be a little confusing for new families, so here’s a quick guide on when our athletes are allowed to wear spikes at competition.

🟢 UNDER 11 & UNDER 12

Spikes are permitted in:

🏃 Track
• Sprints and hurdles up to 400m, where the event is run entirely in lanes

🏅 Field
• Long Jump
• Triple Jump
• High Jump
• Javelin

🔵 UNDER 13 & ABOVE

Spikes are permitted in:

🏃 Track
• All track events, except Walk events

🏅 Field
• Long Jump
• Triple Jump
• High Jump
• Javelin

⚠️ IMPORTANT: CARRYING SPIKES

Spikes must not be worn outside the designated Field of Play.

Please remind athletes to:

👟 Put their spikes on just before their event
👟 Remove them immediately after their event
👟 Make sure spikes are covered when moving outside the Field of Play

This helps keep everyone safe and protects our track and club facilities.

💙💚 A little reminder for our new families — if you’re unsure whether your athlete can wear spikes for an event, please ask one of our committee members. We’re always happy to help!

🏃‍♀️ A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OUR FAMILIES! 🏃‍♂️

Thank you to everyone for your patience tonight! 💙💚

As we get everyone settled into the new season, things will start to run more smoothly. Once all of our athletes receive their membership patches, our races will move through much quicker.

We have some very big age groups this season, and over the coming weeks we’ll be looking at splitting some of these groups to help keep the night running smoothly and make sure everyone gets plenty of opportunities to compete.

It was fantastic to see so many returning families, and a huge welcome to all of our new families! We hope you enjoyed your very first night with us and are looking forward to the season ahead. 💙💚
