New team. New friendships. One great season so far. ⚽💙

Our squad has come together from all corners of Australia, bringing together returning Lane Cove players and women pulling on football boots for the very first time. What started as a brand-new team has quickly become a great group of teammates and friends.

A huge part of that has been the support of our coaches, Steve and Braiffy, who volunteer their time while also playing for the club’s O45s men’s team. We’ve spent the first half of the season learning, improving and having plenty of laughs along the way.

A highlight of the season was being featured in In The Cove during Female Football Week, celebrating the growth of women’s football at Lane Cove.

We’re proud of how far we’ve come in our first season together and excited for what the second half of the year has in store. More football, more friendships and plenty more good times ahead. 💪⚽💙

During July and August Northern Suburbs Football Association will be hosting the Kick on For Women program developed by Football NSW.

Kick On for Women is a welcoming and inclusive football program designed for women aged 16 years and over to get active, connect with others and enjoy being involved in the game.

Whether you’re completely new to football, returning after time away, or simply looking to try something different, the program offers a fun and supportive environment for all experience levels. Running at Blackman Park, the six-week program provides an opportunity to participate, build confidence and enjoy football in a social setting.
