LCFC Women’s Over 30s Yellow Take on NSW Champion of Champions
The Lane Cove Football Club (LCFC) Women’s Over 30s division 1 A (Yellow) team enjoyed a memorable season, winning the local premiership before progressing through the qualifying matches to represent the Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) in the prestigious Football NSW Champion of Champions competition.
The competition brings together winning teams from across NSW, giving them the opportunity to compete against some of the state’s best and vie for the title of state champion.
After a strong run through the qualifying rounds, Lane Cove secured a place in the Grand Final at Valentine Park, the home of Football NSW.
On a beautiful, sunny Sunday morning, the team took to the pitch ready to give it everything they had. It was a fantastic opportunity to test themselves against the best, capping off a season of hard work, teamwork and commitment.
While the result wasn’t what Lane Cove had hoped for, the players gave their all on the field. Their opponents, Killarney, proved to be a formidable team, and the final was a fitting end to a highly competitive campaign.
Reaching a state Grand Final is a significant achievement, and the journey from local premiers to competing on the state stage was a testament to the team’s determination and love of the game.
Congratulations to LCFC Women’s Over 30s Division 1 Yellow on a fantastic season and an impressive Champion of Champions campaign. The team has plenty to celebrate as they reflect on a year of football, friendship and success.
