Our focus is on getting children participating, learning new skills, working as a team, exercising and having fun! The Lane Cove Tigers was founded in 1925 were known as the Tigers from 1956 until 1999. The club was re-formed in 2012 due to the significant interest in rugby

We were thrilled to have NRL legend and State of Origin starJake Friend ( ) drop by this week to introduce himself to our U14 and U15 squads.
Drawing from his extensive experience working with the Sydney Roosters Academy, Jake brought a fantastic perspective on junior development. He spoke about what it takes for young players to grow both on and off the field, emphasising that good habits and a positive attitude start right here at the community level.
Jake shared an invaluable look into his footy journey, speaking openly about:
- The mindset and dedication needed to improve your game week in, week out
- Overcoming obstacles and building resilience when facing challenges
- His career highlights and the lifelong friendships and connections made through footy
This wasn’t just a one-off visit. Jake will be working with our senior coaching staff to help bring some of those great development insights into our teams. We feel incredibly privileged to have him supporting the mighty Lane Cove Tigers family.

U10 GIRLS LEAGUE TAG REPRESENTING TIGERS AT THE WOMEN IN LEAGUE ROUND HELD AT NORTH SYDNEY OVAL
Our u10 Girls had the opportunity to play several games at the women in league round. The girls had so much fun playing with their team mates and competing against various other clubs in the district. Well done girls on a stellar effort, the smiles on all of your faces says it all!

Some of our amazing Tigers went to watch the State of Origin U19s games at North Sydney Oval last Thursday night. It was a great night and they all had so much fun.

Today, the U10s Lane Cove Tigers and Berowra Wallabies stood side by side to observe a minute of silence for Levi Roodenburg.
Only a few weeks ago, we shared the field at Tantallon Oval with Levi and his beloved Pennant Hills Stags.
Hearing the heartbreaking news of his passing at just 9 years old, after a courageous battle with DIPG brain cancer, has affected us all.
Moments like this remind us that footy is so much more than just a game. It is a community that brings people together, and when one club hurts, the entire rugby league family hurts.
Our deepest thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to Levi’s family, his teammates, and everyone who loved him.
A GoFundMe has been set up to support the Roodenburg family during this unimaginably difficult time, helping to give them the space to grieve, heal, and honour Levi’s memory.
