The dinner at the bowls club last night was a warm and welcoming experience, featuring a mouth-watering meal of Crispy Baked chicken and Rhubarb and apple crumble for dessert, expertly prepared by the ladies at the club during the day. The first raffle prize, a $50.00 meat tray from our local Tender Fresh Butcher, was awarded to Diane. Rosemary won the second prize, a $35.00 meat tray also from Tender Fresh Butcher. Wendy received the third prize, a box of chocolates. We are eagerly anticipating Christmas in July.

Last night, our monthly dinner at the bowls club proved to be a huge success. Our appreciation goes to the ladies who prepared and cooked the meal. Roger Worden was the winner of the meat tray, which was donated by Tender Fresh Butcher. The evening was filled with laughter as we played a trivia game after dinner. We anticipate our next dinner in June with great enthusiasm.

Twilight Bowls at Lang Lang starts again on Thursday evenings in October thanks to the sponsorship of the Community Bank Lang Lang. We have benefitted from their support for the past few years encouraging new players to try bowls while enjoying the hospitality of the Lang Lang Bowling club bar and bbq.

Lang Lang Bowling Club celebrated an early "Opening of the Green" this year, taking advantage of the pleasant weather. A delicious lunch was followed by our 2025 champions, Gillian and David, delivering the jack and first bowl to open the green for bowling. Members brushed off some rustiness on the rinks before retiring to the clubhouse for sweet treats in the afternoon tea. A great day.
