Round 2 Wrap – ACL Race Series Tasmanian Hyundai Excel Racing Championship

What a weekend!
We rolled out strong in qualifying, putting the car P3, just 0.2 seconds off pole — super tight field as always.
Race 1 kicked things off nicely, bringing it home in P3 and, for the first time ever, taking the lead of the championship — pretty special moment.
Race 2 was a cracker, battling hard with Josh Webster and finishing P2 after some great racing.
Race 3 was one I dreamed about 5 years ago — lining up on the front row alongside Josh Webster Motorsports. We got into an awesome 3-car battle and broke away from the field. Ended up P3, but the highlight was seeing our teammate Adam Prewer take his first ever Excel win — couldn’t be prouder of him!
Race 4… disaster struck. Coming out of pit lane we sheared all 4 wheel studs on the front right, sending the wheel stage right and resulting in a DNS. Tough one to take.
Race 5 we started dead last with a slightly compromised setup, but pushed hard and by lap 3 we were already up to P3, which is where we finished — mega recovery drive.
Somehow, we managed to finish P3 for the round and hold onto P2 in the championship — we’ll take that all day given the ups and downs.
