Al takes on !
Huge run by TRAP athlete Alastair Tolond, running one of the worlds hardest half marathons with over 1200m elevation!
Al’s tactics paid off, staying patient early and trying to finish as strong as possible.
Get a load of these 5k split positions
5k position - 152nd
10.5k position - 101st
15km position - 62nd
Final position - 37th in a time of 1:50.30
Al’s preparation for the event was outstanding, collecting plenty of hills and solid aerobic work.
Congrats Al, looking forward to working towards the next one!

After the announcement of The Sunshine Coast Marathon postponement, two of our TRAP athletes from Tassie chose to put their training to work and completed a marathon around Launceston!
Witnessing every step along the way on the bike, I can honestly say I wasn’t prepared for the emotional roller coaster I was about to jump on.
A truely inspiring effort from both and . Two of our hardest working athletes who continue to grow mentally and physically and are always willing to push the boundaries.
Both athletes are in preparation for the next challenge at the toughest half marathon in the world, !

Our man goes sub 20! finally gets the break through he deserves after running a 19:22 yesterday at the Bibra Lake Parkrun in Perth!
Morgs has come a long way in the past 12 months, improving his 5k PB by over 3 minutes - a true testament to the work he puts in.
Only 4 weeks ago we saw the big man running a solid debut half marathon in Bunbury. Battling through tough conditions, Morgs put together a huge performance with a time of 1:37:05
We couldn’t be prouder of Morgan’s consistent efforts and his relentless attitude to continually improve!

Potentially the biggest story to come out of Easter was Colin Skeen’s win in the u18 boys 100m at the prestigious Stawell gift.
Colin was the winner of the 2019 Kimberley gift, held in Broome WA, and won a trip to the Parkdale Sports Carnival and Stawell gifts in 2020. After the Stawell Gift was cancelled last year the team from Broome made arrangements for the two Kimberley athletes (Colin Skeen and Reshinta Bradshaw) to travel down to Stawell for this years gift. Under the guidance of Brad and Tim Mason, Colin ran an incredible final from the mark of 7.5 in the blue to take the victory.
These two kids have some serious talent and we are very excited to see what happens next for them. 👏🏼
