BIKEFEST 2023: Launceston's inaugural celebration of all things pedal-powered - BikeFest 2023 - will hit the city streets on Sunday (March 19) for a colourful day of fun & festivities.

Organised by the City of Launceston, BikeFest 2023 aims to bring cycling enthusiasts from across the region together to celebrate Launceston as one of the great places in the world to ride a bike.

The event coincides with the ever-popular World Street Eats festival and the Multicultural Council of Tasmania's Harmony Day - connecting a wealth of multicultural food, entertainment, and
activities around the CBD and City Park on the day.

⛔️ ROAD CLOSURES - Motorists are advised the below roads will be closed from 8am to 5.30pm on Sunday, March 19, due to BikeFest 2023:
• St John St from Paterson to Cimitiere streets
• Cameron St from St John to Tamar streets

Please drive with added care & caution and obey all signage & directions in the CBD/City Park area on Sunday due to increased pedestrian and cyclist traffic in and around these locations.

Due to changing circumstances, we will be taking a break from our MTB coaching sessions and won't be running any sessions in 2023. However, this is not a farewell, we will still to be a part of the local riding community and we are thinking about ways to come back. In the meantime, we encourage you to improve your skills by riding with friends and family, trying out other Tassie coaches such as Shredlys and RIDEO or joining the local racing season organised by Launceston Mountain Bike Club. We want to express our gratitude for your support in the past years. We have had an amazing experience running MTB sessions and coaching such wonderful people and lovely families. Biking has brought us a lot of joy and we hope we were able to share it with you. We hope to see you soon.
