NEXT BELLY DANCE COURSE: May 28th to June 25th. There will not be a class on the first Thursday in June. This will be a four class course. We'll be creating choreography with the Belly Dancer's Treasure Pack. You do not need to purchase a Belly Dancer's Treasure Pack to take part as we'll be using a class pack but there will be some available for sale if you wish to get one to use at home. Cost is $70 for the course. You'll leave with an understanding of the Belly Dancer's Treasure Pack as a tool for creating choreography and inspiration. You will also have a new choreography, created by the whole class.
Zahira learnt how to use the Belly Dancer's Treasure Pack from the creator when she visited Australia several years ago and ran a workshop in Perth W.A.
Venue: Invermay Bowls Club
Class runs from 6:30pm - 7:30pm. Open to all levels.
Payment must be received by May 21st.

Short Zills (Finger Cymbals) Course
This course is for those who have never played zills.
There will be live drumming in the class so you can drill the patterns while still being able to hear the underlying beats.
This short course is made up of two classes. They will be on March 26 and April 2. Start time is 7:30pm and class will go until 8:10pm (40 minutes). You are welcome to stay another 10 minutes to do any stretches / cooling down you need to. Important to bring a pen and paper to class. The cost will be $35 plus if you need zills, they will be an extra $38. Payments must be received before the first class, especially if you are buying zills as you will need to thread the elastic on them.

The first belly dance course for 2026 will begin on the first Thursday in February. There will be two courses running. One will be 6:30pm - 7:30pm. This will be a mixed class. A minimum of a year's belly dance experience is required. At 7:35 - 8:35pm will be a beginners class that is suitable for complete beginners, experienced dancers wishing to fine tune technique or dancers that have had a long break and wish to have a refresher before heading into the mixed class.

Term 3 Belly Dance Course
Sept 2nd - Oct 21 2025. Classes are on Tuesdays and go for one hour.
Time: 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Suitable for all levels INCLUDING complete beginners as we will be focusing on creating strong technique and transitions. This course will also cover some veilwork.
