After 34 years as Manager of Elphin Sports Centre, Lyn Townsend has decided to retire, bringing to a close an extraordinary chapter in the Centre’s history. 🏅📖

Throughout her time at Elphin Sports Centre, Lyn was there through many highs and lows, and her dedication, care, and commitment have left a lasting impact on everyone who walked through its doors. Her contribution to the Centre and the wider community will be remembered for many years to come. ❤️✨

The Board of Management and Staff of Elphin would like to sincerely thank Lyn for her years of service and wish her every happiness as she looks forward to spending more time with her family and travelling. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦✈️

The Board of Management are pleased to announce that Ben Tyeson, after acting as Assistant Manager for the past 5 years, has been promoted to the position of Manager. Congratulations to Ben and we wish him all the best as he transitions to his new role. 👏🎉

Important Announcement

On Monday the 19th of January, due to Elphin Sports Centre having works to install additional solar panels, there will be a crane operating in the Carpark area as shown in the included image during the day.

Please be mindful when coming into Elphin Sports Centre and follow all signage both in the carpark and inside the building.

Due to Elphin Sports Centre playing host to the YONEX U15/U19 National Badminton Championships, Elphin will be closed for casual use from 14th July to 18th July.

For those looking at coming into Elphin during the school holidays, please take note of the following dates and times we have available.

Casual Use is only Available as follows for the first week of the School Holidays:
Monday 7th July, 12 pm - 4pm
Tuesday 8th July, NO SPACE
Wednesday 9th July, NO SPACE
Thursday 10th July, 12 pm - 4pm
Friday 11th July, NO SPACE
