We’ve had a huge run of events on lately, it’s been busy, with clients kicking goals left right & center… so as per usual, the social media presence & acknowledgment of clients is lacking on my behalf, but you had better believe it when I say we are all deep in these challenges together & I’d rather be front & center with clients then living in a social media world which really means bu**er all.

I still consider myself very lucky & PRIVILEGED to be able to play a role on this level in peoples lives... It’s a role that has well & truly become more than a job… The access & insight into people’s lives I need from individuals is what makes my role so much more meaningful, it’s a relationship that means more then a transaction. I’m lucky & grateful.

Below is a list of events/challenges that we’ve been involved in lately, with more to come over the final weeks of the year…

• Melbourne Marathon 🏃🏻‍♀️
• Noosa Triathlon 🏊🏼‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃🏽
• Hobart Wheelers Dirt Devils - Cygnet Cycling Festival - State Champs - Mass start 🚴‍♂️
• Launceston City Cycling Club - Graded State Champs 🚵‍♂️
• IRONMAN 70.3 Melbourne 🌊🏊🏽‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃🏽
• Triple Top Mountain Run 🏞️🏃🏽🏃🏽⛰️
• Mersey Mountain Bike Club - Railton Express 🚵‍♂️
• Mt Kilimanjaro 🧗‍♀️⛰️

Whilst these events are a huge part of our job, we also have a number of clients kicking goals with everyday life activities & challenges, which in more ways then one, are probably even more important & involved then people training for events. Again, I’m lucky.

Onwards & Upwards we go.

The Devil's Cardigan AusCycling National Champs on the 22nd June was a big day out for a few team members.

We had Kaitlin Roach set herself for this event as a very big personal challenge, which certainly challenged her with ALL THE EMOTIONS in the lead up… Kaitlin finished 3rd in her age group, which is fantastic, but what’s more impressive is the fact that she entered an event that truly scared her & was brave enough to put herself out there, commit fully & go get the job done, which takes enormous courage!! I’m very proud of Kaitlin, & I hope this inspires a few others within our Peak community to go out there & give it a crack, no matter how scary or crazy the challenge, because at the end of the day this is what it’s all about, breaking barriers & doing things that we never thought possible. Hats off to you Kaitlin 👏😊👊💪😄

Matthew Lynch had a very good day out, he’s got the skills for this type of event with a background in MTB, & I feel as though he’s got a heap more to give within gravel racing. Matt’s lead up is always super tricky & will continue to be a work in progress, but once we get things dialled, he’ll be away. He’s got huge room for improvement!! I’m personally excited to see what he can get done in the future 🤜🤝👍

Shane Smith was out there in the senior category 😜 & also finished 3rd!! I hope I can be as fit as Shane when I’m 70… In all seriousness, bloody great job… Shane asked me early 24 if I thought he could get it done, to which I replied “there’s no time like the present” So of he went, prepared as well as possible & smashed it!! Fantastic!! 👏👏👏

We also had a number of other athletes that are a part of the Peak community in one way or the other & all had great days out… Love them being involved…

Thomas Clayton & Jack Hadley in the elite field competing in their first National Gravel Champs. Both boys did really well finishing in the top 20!! 👊💪

Dave Corbett having a solid day out on his MTB, being so very close to breaking 5hrs. Big improver over the last couple of years & he still has more to give!!

Nathan Jackson entering last minute & having an enjoyable day out!! Great athlete that gets done what he can. Huge supporter of me personally for which I’m forever grateful & hope to repay the favour one day!! What are we doing next mate?

Matt Lee-Archer was locked in for the Cardigan & prepared as well as possible. Doc definitely has room to grow with his performance & I look forward to watching it happen. Pleasure to have him involved. Well done mate.

Paul Mckenzie rode selflessly all day in support of others & was still right up there at the pointy end. Great athlete that I would have loved to be out there with me.

Special shout out to Alex Lack finishing 6th in a stacked elite field & was a big part of our crew that prepped for The Cardigan. Brilliant ride.

Chris Brinkman riding super strong finishing 8th in our category & has also been a part of the team. Awesome mate.

All in all, The Devils Cardigan for 2024 had been a real highlight for me personally, & as coach… It’s given us all something to work towards, challenge us, inspire us, & most likely leaving us wanting more.

Bring on whatever’s next 👊💪🤜😊👍👏

The Devil's Cardigan AusCycling National Gravel Champs for 2024 👊

Very lucky to have a national champs in our backyard & what an event it has become for our local cycling community. Hats off to the Cardigan team for another ripper!! 👏🙏

It was another tricky prep with ongoing medical issues popping up, but that’s life living with an auto immune disease, so “tricky” is rather normal these days… certainly throws some curve balls nevertheless.

Preparing for a big race is definitely becoming more difficult, so as always, there’s a heap of people to thank for their ongoing support…

Nathan Jackson & the boys in at Cycle2 for their never ending bike related support. Can’t thank them enough. 🙏🙏🙏

Our SATURDAYS bike crew for ripping my legs off most weekends. It’s been a pleasure doing business with you all 🤜🤝 Let’s keep that ball rolling!!

My wife Emma Hill who wrangles 3 kids under 7 so I can get work done every week, still can’t do anything without her ❤️

Our whole PEAK community for the support along the way… It’s a privilege to be apart of 😊👍
