Leongatha Golf Club Ranked in Golf Australias Top 100 Public Access courses come and play at a fantastic all weather golf course. Green fee players are welcome.

Ranked within the top 120 of ALL golf courses in Australia and 65th best Public Access Golf Course in Australia by Golf Australia magazine. This great golf course is located just 10 minutes from Leongatha and Inverloch and less than 2 hours from Melbourne. Carved out of natural bush environment the wide undulating santa ana fairways are flanked by tall eucalypt trees and the excellent greens have subtle contours. Careful shot selection is required and the driver might remain in your bag on some of the dogleg holes. You might come across some of the wildlife on the course including wallabies, koalas, wombats and an abundance of birdlife. Visitors and groups are welcome to play in our regular competitions.

Coring is officially complete and our greens are fully playable and looking fantastic! The front 9 has had a full week to settle, and the back 9 was finished over the weekend. ⛳️

Whilst the green’s settle, we’re running HALF PRICE GREEN FEES now through October 2nd!

Grab your clubs, tag your mates, and come enjoy a round with us. See you on the fairways!

🌸⛳ CELEBRATING WOMEN’S GOLF! 🌸

Today was Captain’s Day — and a very special one at LGC as we marked the final Wednesday of Janet Monk’s two-year term as Women’s Captain.

And what a wonderful Captain Janet has been! 💕 Janet has led the women’s section with warmth, enthusiasm and plenty of good humour, and we were delighted to celebrate her today.

Chosen by Janet, the competition of the day was a 2BBB stableford with a few twists — including the small matter of having only five clubs to play with! 🏌️‍♀️ Some women clearly chose more wisely than others! 😂

Else and Cheryl certainly got their club selection right, coming in with a massive 49 points to take out the day’s competition. 🏆👏

And Dot Stubbs proved that a clever club choice can make all the difference, managing a birdie on the 18th with a gobbler from 120 metres out — a nifty 4 for 5 points! 👏🐦

The fun continued inside the clubhouse, with sparkling for everyone and a special toast to Janet on a terrific two years as Women’s Captain. 🥂💐

Thank you, Janet, for everything you have done for LGC’s women and for being such a wonderful Captain. We’ll miss seeing you in the Captain’s chair — but we know you won’t be far away! ❤️

🌿⛳ **A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS!** 🙌

More than 20 wonderful volunteers joined us yesterday and again today for a busy couple of working bees — tackling a great range of projects around the Club.

From filling in bare spots in the rough, sweeping sand back into the recently cored front nine, giving the entrance a fresh coat of paint, picking up range balls and plenty of other jobs in between, there was certainly no shortage of things to get stuck into! 💪👏

We’re sorry we didn’t quite manage to catch everyone on camera — but please know that your time, effort and willingness to pitch in is always so appreciated. The Club is a better place because of the many members who generously give their time. ❤️

A special thank you also to Cal, Simo and Aydan for their hard work on the greens over the weekend. The coring program was a great success, and we look forward to getting stuck into the back nine as soon as the weather permits.

With a little patience now, we’ll be enjoying great greens right through Summer!☀️⛳🌱

Thanks again to everyone who rolled up, got their hands dirty and helped keep LGC looking its best. What a team! 👏💚

⛳️ HOLE 5

Another short dog-leg, this time heading right to left. A 150–180m tee shot down the middle will set you up nicely for the short downhill approach.

Take your club selection into account on the downhill, and remember this is a fast green - finding the middle is the smart play! 🎯

We know your favourite hole, and your not-so-favourite hole… but which hole looks easy but definitely isn’t?! 👀

And there’s a reason it’s stood the test of time! While the big drives might get all the attention, it’s often the putting that really counts when it comes to getting the score down. 🎯

Our putting green is the perfect place to sharpen your short game, work on your consistency and get those all-important putts dialled in before you hit the course.

A very important group once joined the competition on the 2nd hole… 🦆⛳️

Mumma Duck and her little ducklings decided it was the perfect time for a leisurely stroll across the course, completely unfazed by the golfers trying to play around them. 😂

No rushing, no keeping up with the group and certainly no concern for pace of play - just a little family enjoying a wander around the course. 💛
