Tennis Macarthur – Interdistrict 2026 Wrap-Up

We have successfully completed the 2026 Interdistrict Tennis Competition, and what a fantastic season it has been for Tennis Macarthur!

Our Under-10 teams have given us plenty to celebrate:
🏆 Stan Pedersen Cup – Under 10 Boys: WINNERS(Bisham Chapagain, Gavrilo Novkovic, Theor Stathis & Ridhaan Praveen)
🏆 Harry Beck Cup – Under 10 Girls: Division WINNERS (Naira Gautam, Sara Rajbhandari, Sienna Morschel & Ki Pfute)

These results are a wonderful sign of the bright future ahead for Tennis Macarthur.
We are also extremely proud of Emma Mackrill and Shayan Shrestha, who were selected as recipients of the Junior Player Grant $400 from the NSW Hardcourt Tennis Association for their outstanding performances throughout the Interdistrict competition

Tennis Macarthur was represented in 7 of the 10 Cups, with 11 teams competing across the various competitions.
Our teams competed in:
• Blackwell Cup – Division 3 and Division 5
• Esca Stephens Cup – Under 14 Boys – Premier Division 2 Runner-Up, Division 3 and Division 4 Runner-Up
• George Rider Cup – Senior Men
• Crackanthorp Cup – Under 12 Girls
• Irene Matthews Cup – Under 16 Girls – Premier Division 2 Runner-Up

We were also proud to host the semi-finals for the Harry Beck Cup and McAndrew Cup on 13 September 2026,

Although the official competition commenced on 27 July 2026 (with the George Rider Cup commencing on 19 July), there is a tremendous amount of work that happens behind the scenes to make an Interdistrict season possible. A huge thank you to the NSW Hardcourt Tennis Association and Tennis NSW for running and supporting the competition.

It's about more than winning, For Tennis Macarthur, our representation in Interdistrict is not measured only by the number of Cups we win.
Our goal is to give our members the opportunity to experience competitive tennis — something they may not otherwise have the chance to do outside of Interdistrict.

Every point played, every comeback, every tough loss, every celebration and every new friendship become part of a player's tennis journey. These are memories that our players and families will carry with them for many years to come.

A massive thank you to our wonderful committee members Lesley, Mark, Scott, Michael and Colin. None of this would have been possible without your time, effort and commitment behind the scenes. And thank you to Advantage Tennis for encouraging our kids to get involved and supporting their participation in these events.

To all our players, families, volunteers and supporters — thank you!
We are incredibly proud of what Tennis Macarthur has achieved in 2026.
