Women’s Head Coach Wanted!
Balmain Rugby are looking for an experienced coach to lead our Women’s Program for 2027
What We Offer
• Inclusiveness & Culture – from complete novices to 200+ appearances, as long as you bring the right attitude, all are welcome! For us success is measured by players enjoying themselves, bringing their mates down and coming back the following year.
• Culture brings success: Div 4 Club of the Year 2025, Div 4 Club Champions ‘26, ’25 & ’26 back-to-back 1st grade premiers, ’25 & ’26 back-to-back Colts minor premiers.
• An existing coaching group including specialist coaches, to work with and support you where and when required.
• A supportive committee, looking to provide the women’s programme with the resources it needs to succeed.
• A healthy social calendar that lends itself towards bringing the club together
• An opportunity to build a team and develop young players.
What we are looking for
• Someone who can work closely with the Women’s Rugby Coordinator & committee, to be part of a team to help drive this to success.
• Coaching Experience – Can be men’s or women’s but needs to be able to teach novices the basics as well as develop experienced players.
• Someone who can work with the coaching group to design a training plan for pre-season and during the season
• Someone who has Safe Rugby and Level 1 Coaching Accreditation or is willing to put in the time to attain these.
• It’s a long season, everyone needs to take a break. We are not expecting you to be at every single training session, or even match, but you will need to work with the coaching group to work out a plan to cover any breaks.
• Someone who will buy into the program with the same commitment that our players show.
