The Carngham Linton Football Netball Club has five football and six netball teams that compete at senior and junior level in the Central Highlands Football Netball League. The club was formed back in 1969 through the amalgamation of Carngham and Linton Football Clubs, which each dated back to the 1870’s. The Saints have since become one of the most successful football netball clubs in country Victoria. Since the Carngham Linton Football Netball Club was first formed, the club has enjoyed significant on-field success across three different leagues. With a total of 17 senior football premierships and record levels of success across all grades in the previous Western Plains and Lexton Plains Leagues. The Carngham Linton Football Netball Club strive for excellence in all that we do, and attempt to reach our greatest potential as sportspersons and community members. Honesty, respect, friendship, support, team pride, integrity, social responsibility, effort and self-improvement are key values of our club. Senior Football Premierships -
1974, 1976, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1987, 1989, 1990, 1995, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Senior Netball Premierships –

📣 2027 JUNIOR FOOTBALL COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

The Carngham Linton Football Netball Club is excited to announce our Junior Football Coaches for the 2027 season!

Under 18 – Matt Spratling

Matt Spratling will continue his involvement in our junior football program as our Under 18 Coach for 2027. Matt has played an important role in the development of our Under 18 players and brings plenty of football knowledge and experience to the group. We are excited to see him continue building on the foundations already established and helping prepare our young players for the transition into senior football.

Under 15 – Ryan Pridham & Shannon Sculley

Ryan Pridham and Shannon Sculley will return to lead our Under 15 footballers in 2027. The pair have continued to build strong relationships with our junior players while placing a strong focus on skill development, teamwork and creating a positive environment for the group. Their return provides great continuity for our junior program, and we look forward to seeing them continue developing this group both on and off the field.

Under 12 – Ben Carey

Ben Carey will also return as our Under 12 Coach for the 2027 season. Ben has quickly become an important part of our junior football program and has developed strong connections with our youngest footballers. His enthusiasm and involvement provide a great starting point for players beginning their journey through the club.

Having returning coaches across all three junior teams provides great continuity for our program and allows us to continue building a strong pathway from Under 12s through to senior football.

Congratulations Matt, Ryan, Shannon and Ben. We can’t wait to see what our junior footballers can achieve in 2027!

📣 2027 COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

The Carngham Linton Football Netball Club is excited to announce that Craig Wells has committed to coaching our Reserves side in 2027.

Craig has coached at top-age level in the Ballarat Football League, coached Learmonth Under 18s and was the Reserves Coach at Tatyoon from 2018 to 2023. During his time at Tatyoon, Craig coached the Reserves to a Premiership in 2022.

Craig is looking forward to working alongside our Senior Coaching Panel and getting the best out of our playing group.

Craig is a very well-spoken and passionate person when it comes to his coaching, and we believe it will be an exciting time for our Reserves in 2027.

Congratulations, Craig. All the very best for 2027, and we look forward to seeing what you can bring to our great club!

The Carngham Linton Football Netball Club family wishes to convey it’s heartfelt condolences to everyone at the Navarre FNC at this time, particularly the family of the young netballer who was tragically taken in a motor vehicle accident on Thursday evening.

We know our Footy / Netball clubs play such a critical role in bringing communities together in times of both great celebration and devastation, like the current circumstances.

Please know that the collective thoughts of all at the CLFNC are with the Navarre cohort, particulary with one of our very own representing the club today.

📣 2027 COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Jordan Purcell will be taking on the role of C & D Grade Coach for Season 2027, marking his fourth season with our mighty club!

Jordan has continued to make an incredible impact during his time at the club, with his commitment, passion and dedication to netball clear for everyone to see.

His time with our C Grade team has already brought great success, with the team competing strongly in finals. This season, Jordan also took on the challenge of coaching a junior team, where the improvement throughout the year was fantastic to watch. The team continued to develop each week and narrowly missed out on a finals berth.

Jordan’s contribution also goes far beyond coaching. He is an amazing club person, always willing to get involved and do whatever he can to help our club and its players succeed.

His passion for the game is infectious, and he is constantly looking for opportunities to learn, grow and upskill himself as a coach. That commitment to his own development is reflected in the way he supports his players to become better, more confident and capable netballers.

We couldn’t be more excited to have Jordan continuing his coaching journey with us and know he will bring plenty of energy, knowledge and heart to both our C and D Grade teams in 2027.

📣 2027 COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

We are excited to announce Sally Noble as our B Grade Netball Coach for Season 2027!

Sally has been involved in netball for most of her life, first as a player and then making the transition into coaching, working with both junior and senior teams across various clubs throughout Ballarat.

Throughout her coaching journey, Sally has experienced plenty of success and brings with her a wealth of knowledge, experience and a genuine passion for helping players grow.

Most recently, Sally was the A Grade Coach at Ararat in 2024 and 2025, with her team progressing to finals in her second season.

Sally is passionate about creating a positive and supportive environment where players can develop their skills, build confidence and continue to love the game of netball. She places a strong focus on communication, teamwork and helping players become the best version of themselves, both on and off the court.

We are absolutely delighted to welcome Sally to our Saints community and can’t wait to see what she brings to our B Grade team in 2027! ❤️🤍🖤

📣 2027 COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

We’re thrilled to announce that Rachael Cross will once again take the reins as our A Grade Netball Coach, returning for her fourth season at the club!

Rachael’s experience, knowledge and passion for the game are second to none. Her commitment to getting the best out of her players each week has been clear to see, with the A Grade side becoming increasingly competitive throughout the season.

But Rachael’s contribution goes far beyond the sideline. She is a true club person, always willing to put her hand up, lend a helping hand and get stuck into whatever is needed.

We’re incredibly lucky to have someone who brings so much knowledge, passion, dedication and heart to our club.

📣 2027 COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

The Carngham Linton Football Netball Club is excited to announce the appointment of Simon Brearley as our Senior Football Coach for the next two years.

Simon brings an impressive coaching background to the role.

He coached Nhill in the Wimmera Football League from 2011 to 2013 before taking on the Senior Coaching role at Tatyoon in the Mininera League in 2018 and 2019, leading the side to a Grand Final in 2018 and a Preliminary Final in 2019.

More recently, Simon coached the Yeppoon Swans AFC in 2023 and 2024, guiding the club to back-to-back Premierships. His success also saw him named Coach of the Year in 2024.

Along with his impressive coaching record, Simon brings a wealth of on-field experience and a strong playing background.

We are also excited to announce the appointment of Zane 'Bonz' Ross as our Senior Assistant Football Coach for the next two years.

Bonz has coached our Reserves for the past four years and has continually shown strong commitment and passion towards our playing group. He is always striving to get the best out of the boys, and we are excited to see him step into the Senior Assistant role alongside Simon.

We are all excited to see what Simon, Bonz and the rest of the coaching panel can deliver next year and wish them all the very best as they work to get the most out of our playing group.
