A petition was created to help sort out a school safety issue that’s being presented and quite frankly it’s important to discuss. It’s being reported from community and school level to council, yet no changes or recommendations have taken place.
And yes, this one hits home to me, because every kid: from mainstream, support unit & everyone in between - they all deserve to be safe going to/from home… and if any recent community tragedies help us to understand is: If not now, then when? When it’s your kid or mine not coming home? 🏡 Then please.. sign the petition. Your input matters. Thanks 🙏

[UPDATE]: 🎗️ A fundraiser has been created to support the family of the children who tragically passed away yesterday.
ℹ️ Patrick Te, a friend of the family, set up the fundraiser to "help support this family who has been through the unimaginable. It doesn’t look like things will get any easier anytime soon - it’s a long road ahead, and they deserve all the help they can get."
He said "Their mother, Sok, was picking up Katherine from school. Katherine, who was in her first year of kindergarten, was excited to go home after just receiving an award.
As they were crossing the road together, heading back to the car, an oncoming vehicle suddenly struck both Katherine and the pram where Harry was sitting.
A mother not only lost a child - she lost both of her children, her only two children.
As I sit here at Westmead Children’s Hospital looking at these two precious souls and their mother, it is extremely difficult to comprehend."
"As a community, I pray we can come together and ease some of their burden.
