That's a wrap on the 2026 Rapala BASS Pro Series qualifying rounds - next stop, the Grand Final event at Lake Glenbawn in October.

Congratulations to the winner's of the Molix sponsored Wivenhoe Dam event - Steve Morgan goes back-to-back and takes out the Boater division with a 10/10 limit for 19.440kg.

Justin Commys secured the Non Boater win with a 5/6 limit for 9.570kg.

The final qualifier also means the Angler of the Year Champions are confirmed and in a first for ABT we have a father/son combo take out AOY. Matthew Langford is the BASS Pro Boater Angler of the Year and William Langford is the BASS Pro Non Boater Angler of the Year. We'll make this official at the Grand Final dinner in October.

Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to all the anglers who competed across the season. Grand Final field details will be posted next week and invitations sent out shortly.

Luke Whiting arrived at Somerset Dam for the fourth round of the 2026 Rapala BASS Pro Series hoping to catch a fish… and left as the TT/ZMan Round Non-Boater Champion with a cracking 11.12kg for six bass!

Fishing with Steve Morgan on Day One and Nick Brunyee on Day Two, Luke had to adapt to two completely different techniques to get the job done – including landing the biggest bass he’s ever caught along the way.

Hear Luke break down both days, the lures, gear and techniques behind his win in our full champion interview, now on the ABT Tournaments YouTube channel.

A 12.835kg Day One bag, a 3.3kg+ kicker on Day Two and a massive 23.835kg tournament total saw Steve Morgan claim the TT/ZMan-sponsored round of the 2026 Rapala BASS Pro Series at Somerset Dam.

And after 20 years between BASS qualifier wins, this one was pretty special.

We caught up with Steve after the weigh-in to break down exactly how he did it - from his pre-event preparation and forward-facing sonar setup to the strolling technique that helped him unlock Somerset’s big bass.
