We've had a couple of cancellations and that mean's theres a couple of rooms up grabs for the Northern BARRA Tour Rounds at Peter Faust Dam.

Maksym Nestertsov has claimed his first ABT victory, taking out the Non-Boater title at the Lowrance-sponsored Manning River round of the 2026 Daiwa BREAM Series!

Fishing in just his fourth ABT event, the former Ukrainian national team angler went from fifth place to the top of the podium thanks to a last-minute tackle shop purchase and a winning crankbait technique!

But there's more to this victory than a trophy. Maksym has also secured his ticket to the Daiwa BREAM Series Grand Final at Forster!

Two new winner taking home the trophies at the Manning River for the Lowrance sponsored final round of the 2026 Daiwa BREAM Series.

Adam Kennedy takes the boater win with a 10/10 limit for 5.840kg and Maksym Nestertsov takes out the non-boater win with a 6/6 limit for 2.990kg.

We'll have full winner's interviews up soon plus plenty of pics and the all important qualifiers list for the 2026 BREAM Grand Final at Forster in December.

The final session of the final qualifying round of the 2026 Daiwa BREAM Series is underway at the Lowrance sponsored Manning River round.

The final qualifying round of the 2026 Daiwa BREAM Series, is underway for the Lowrance sponsored round at Manning River at Taree, NSW, and Day One has delivered some seriously tight competition!

BOATERS:

Local knowledge proved valuable, with Chris Smith setting the pace early and holding onto the lead with a five-fish limit weighing 3.055kg.

But fellow local Kris Hickson is breathing down his neck, just 50 grams behind on 3.005kg! Not bad for a bloke who's barely had time to recover from representing Australia at the World Black Bass Championship in the USA!

And don't count out Steve Morgan, sitting third on 2.790kg, with Adam Kennedy (2.715kg) and Harry Hardman (2.700kg) rounding out the top five.

NON-BOATERS

John Parkinson made his move late in the weigh-in, taking the lead with an impressive three-fish limit of 1.750kg.

Stephen Cyster sits second on 1.645kg, while Alexander Prudence made a late charge with 1.440kg to keep the pressure on heading into Day Two.

BIG BREAM HONOURS:

Beau Startin brought a little excitement to the scales with a cracking 795g bream, the biggest fish weighed during the Day One livestream and the current Samurai Infinite Big Bream.

A nice start in Taree for the first session of the Lowrance sponsored Manning River round of the 2026 Daiwa BREAM Series.

This is the final qualifying event of the Series and Grand Final spots are on the line.

It's onlay a couple of weeks away! Time to get your team together for the firstever Shimano Flathead Australian Open, hitting the waters of Lake Macquarie on 31 October – 1 November 2026.

This is two days on one of Australia’s premier flathead fisheries for the chance to become the inaugural Shimano Flathead Australian Open Champions! 🎣

This event is for teams of two anglers with the option to add a third junior angler aged 12 or under. It is a catch, measure and release event being run on the ABT Tournament Series App.
