⚽️ A HUGE THANK YOU – COUNTRY CUP CARNIVAL 2026! ⚽️
What a fantastic day at the Lowood Recreation Complex and Caledonian Park, Rosewood for the Country Cup Carnival! 🏆⚽️
On behalf of Brisbane Valley Soccer Club and Rosewood United Soccer Club, we would like to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who helped make yesterday such a great success.
We welcomed towards 300 players and nearly 800 visitors to Lowood, with teams travelling from the Sunshine Coast, North and South Brisbane, Ipswich and regional areas including Boonah and Rosewood.
It was fantastic to see our region showcased and to demonstrate what Lowood and the Somerset Region can offer when our community comes together.
A special thank you to:
👏 Lions Club of Fernvale for their support and involvement throughout the day.
👏 Our BVSC Nationals players, who gave up their time to help make the carnival happen.
👏 The many BVSC members, players and families from all age groups who helped with set-up, pack-down, coordination, mowing, watering, linemarking and everything in between.
👏 The coaches, managers, referees, volunteers, supporters and families who travelled to be part of the day.
Finally to Lowood Stags for sharing the facilty and equipment to make this all possible. The slushies were brilliant!
And, of course, a huge thank you to all the players who took to the fields and made the carnival what it was. ⚽️❤️
Events like the Country Cup are a wonderful reminder of the power of sport to bring communities together, create connections and showcase our region to visitors from near and far.
To see so many people at Lowood and Rosewood enjoying football and our community is something we can all be proud of.
Feed back from the day was so positive and revived memories of the strong competition between Sunshine Coast football and QCSA teams resulting in the selection of one super strong QLD team for each age group.
Finally a huge thank you to Kellie, David and Robyn from West Zone QCSA for keeping the dream alive and providing the delivery of a fantastic tournament.
As QCSA prepares to send 90 odd nationals players to Melbourne, West Zone (and Sunshine Coast football) provides opportunity and pathways for hundreds of players to be involved in representative football and feed into the Nationasl system.
We applaud you for the tireless hours of unpaid dedication given to the zone and thank you for not throwing in the towel when many others have.
