💙🏏 LYNBROOK LAKERS — WE LOOK AFTER OUR OWN 🏏💙

Earlier this week, our club was hit by the theft of equipment from our curator’s shed. It’s incredibly disappointing to see equipment that is used to support hundreds of our junior and senior players taken from our club.

But out of a frustrating situation has come something pretty special. ❤️

We want to say a massive THANK YOU to all the families who have already donated to the club. Your generosity and support has genuinely meant so much to everyone involved.

🏏 **A Difficult Start to Our New Season**

Just as we were getting excited to begin the new cricket season, Lynbrook Cricket Club suffered a devastating setback.

Our curator’s shed was broken into, and approximately **$8,000–$10,000 worth of essential equipment and tools** was stolen, including rollers, mowers and other items used to prepare and maintain our cricket facilities.

A police report has been lodged, and the matter is now under investigation. However, as a volunteer-run community sporting club, replacing this equipment will be extremely difficult and will take considerable time and resources.

Our volunteers work tirelessly to provide a safe and welcoming place for juniors, seniors, girls, women and all-abilities players to enjoy cricket. This loss affects our entire cricket community and our preparations for the upcoming season.

If anyone has information about the break-in, or can assist the club through equipment, services, sponsorship or financial support, please contact us.

We have faced a major setback, but with the support of our members, families, sponsors and the wider community, we are determined to rebuild and make the new season a success.

Lynbrook Cricket Club is delighted to welcome **Adnan Rasheed** to the Lakers family!

An experienced **batsman, former Turf 1 player and Victorian veteran cricketer**, Adnan brings a wealth of cricket knowledge, composure and experience to our club.

His addition is about more than runs on the field. Adnan will also play an important role in **supporting, guiding and mentoring our younger players**, helping strengthen the culture and future of Lynbrook Cricket Club.

We’re excited to have his experience, leadership and passion for the game as part of our group and look forward to a fantastic season together.
