One for us all to remember

As some of you may be aware my year has come to an abrupt halt two weeks ago when I had a nasty fall at home and fractured my femur up at my hip! For now I’m laid up at home for the next 6 weeks with no weight baring. Oh I can hobble around in my crutches fairly well but there is no riding no nothing for a while for little ol me. I had great expectations and goals this year for MoMan and Ginger plus JT was just staring his clerking career. As you all know my life revolves around riding, I live in the saddle all day everyday, so for me not to be able to ride is definitely getting me down and out but I’m thinking positive and looking forward to firstly getting back in the saddle and then back to competition next year for a bigger and better year!

A shout out to Suzie.
Suzie has come a long way since the few very first lessons I gave her where I couldn’t get her in her horse. She had so much anxiety that it would be so over barring she couldn’t get on! Now fast forward a few years and a couple of horses in between she now has the wonderful jatz (for a little over 12 months)
Well done Suzie keep following those goals

Over the past 6 or so months I’ve been working with Lisa and her beloved Thor. Lisa was having trouble getting Thor to go forward and picking up the incorrect canter lead on the right. With Lisa’s dedication to her riding and me tweaking him each week this pair has come a long way and have finally been to their first competition together. Lisa and Thor competed at the North Queensland Games (dressage) on Monday and smashed out two great tests
1st in the prep 2
2nd in the preliminary 1.2 (slight trouble getting the correct lead but fixed quickly)
I’m so super proud of you both.
The effort and dedication is amazing and Thor couldn’t be more loved by anyone else.
