Good water safety comes from staying alert and making safe choices throughout your visit. A few key reminders:
• Move carefully on wet surfaces
• Follow all lifeguard instructions
• Raise your hand and call for help if you’re struggling
Together, we can create a safe swimming environment for all.

Every visit to the pool is safer when we take a moment to be aware of our surroundings.
Check in with how confident you’re feeling, understand your limits, and look out for those swimming with you.
Simple awareness helps protect everyone - from new swimmers to those returning to the water after a break.

Active supervision from parents and carers is the strongest protection around water.
Lifeguards provide an important safety layer, but they can't replace your attention.
Stay close, stay focused, and stay engaged with children every time you visit.
Your watchful presence truly makes the difference.

Swimming confidence grows when you have the right support around you - especially for children and those still building their skills in the water.
For newer or less confident swimmers, having someone nearby means extra encouragement, quick help if needed, and a safer experience overall.
If you’re learning, supervising young swimmers, or helping someone build confidence, make swimming a shared activity to help everyone feel safe and supported.

🌞 School Holidays Are Nearly Here! 🌞
With the school holidays just around the corner, we’re looking forward to welcoming lots of families to the lagoon. To ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable visit, we kindly remind all parents and guardians that active supervision of children is essential at all times.
👶 Supervision Requirements:
✅ Children 0–5 years: A parent or guardian must be in the water within arm's reach at all times.
✅ Children 6–10 years: A parent or guardian must remain in close, be prepared and maintain constant visual contact at all times.
✅ Children 11–14 years: A parent or guardian must maintain visual contact at all times.
✅ Weak and vulnerable swimmers: make yourself known to staff at the entry and we can give you some tips to help keep you safe.
❌ Children 14 and under must have a parent or guardian over 18 with them to enter to venue. Entry may be declined if we are not able to verify a child's age or ensure appropriate supervision.
❌ Distractions are dangerous - scrolling your mobile phone is not active supervision.
❌ Lifeguards are not babysitters. Supervision starts with you!
💙 Your attention and supervision help us create a safe, fun environment for everyone to enjoy. Let’s work together to keep these school holidays happy and incident‑free.
Thank you for doing your part — we can’t wait to see you at the lagoon! 🌊✨
